Garver, Samuel Harold. - age 61 of Lenoir City passed away Saturday April 3, 2004 at the Parkwest Medical Center.  Sammy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. He was of the Nazarene faith and was retired from General Motors in Ohio. Sarten, Isaac Jerome, Jr. - age 79 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, April 2, 2004, at the Parkwest Medical Center. A member of Forgiveness Baptist Church and the Loudon County DAV.He was a retired carpenter and metal worker. Isaac was a veteran of the Army serving in the Pacific theater during World War II. He received the Bronze Star and was due to receive the Purple Heart. Preceded in death by his wife, Axie L. Sarten; parents, Isaac and Lucy Sarten along with several brothers and sisters. Curtis, Edward E. (Ed) - age 69, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly, Saturday, April 3, 2004 at his home. He was a member of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church, Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F&AM, and a Knoxville Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. Ed retired from Yale Security and worked part time as a barber at Wilburn's Barber Shop in Lenoir City. He served in the Local Unit of the Tennessee National Guard. Wender, Neil F. - age 88 of Roane Co., passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at his home.  He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.  In his youth, Neil served in the Maine National Guard and later served in the United States Army during World War II.  Neil retired from Dempster Brother's in Knoxville. Sothman, E. Peter age 70 of West Knoxville passed away Thursday morning, April 15, 2004 at his home. Peter was retired from Martin Marietta X-10 plant as Project Manager. Peter was an avid fisherman, stamp collector and golfer.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Eyrich, Rev. George William age 56 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, April 20, 2004 at Baptist Hospital West. George was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Minister of Singles. He was a volunteer chaplain at Baptist Hospital West and East Tennessee Baptist Medical Center. He was an avid carpenter, photographer, ham radio operator and license pilot. He retired after 27 years as a State Farm Agent but his joy in life was to serve the Lord. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors: wife of 35 years, Irene Catherine Eyrich; daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and David Dorris of Farragut, Elizabeth and Kenny Campbell of Knoxville; sons, Daniel Eyrich of Farragut, Nathan Eyrich of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ashley, Jackson and Brody Dorris; sister, Medora Wasley of Billings, MT; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joan and Robert Horlacher of Sugar Loaf, PA, Linda and Fred Degillio of Kingston, PA; several nieces,  nephews and cousins. Sopchak, Richard J. (Rick) of Farragut, formerly of California, passed away early Saturday morning, April 24, 2004 at Baptist Hospital West. Rick was retired from Yellow Freight Systems in Pico Rivera, CA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict for four years. Welch, Bennie Arlis "Bud" - of Loudon, passed away quietly at his home on Saturday, April 24, 2004,  after a long battle with cancer.  Bud was a veteran of the U. S. Hill, Herschel J. age 82 of Farragut passed away suddenly Sunday morning, April 25, 2004 at his home. Herschel was retired from TVA after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Merchant Marines. Herschel was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brother Adolf Hill. Johnson, Thelma - age 82 of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Jamestowne Assisted Living Community in Kingston.  She was a member of Kingston Pike Baptist Church.  She and her husband owned and operated Johnson Health Care Center in Lenoir City for many years.  Preceded in death by her husband, James F.
