Betty retired from Parkwest Hospital where she worked as a housekeeper. Preceded in death by parents, James A. and Alice Pearson; grandson, Isaiah Silvey; son-in-law, Michael Silvey; sisters, Judy Wilcox and Patricia Mandich. Essie Mae Weaver, age 82 of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Essie was retired from Bacon Hosiery Mill and Yale Security Co. Tilda Allison Phillips, age 83 of the Solway Community, Knoxville, passed away early Saturday morning, April 1, 2006 at Brakebill Nursing Home. Tilda was a member of Solway Church of God for 58 years. She was one of twenty four children born of her father, the late Johnson Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Crawford, her first love; husband William S. Allison; and second husband, Charles Phillips. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell and Sarah Allison, Jeffrey and Terry Allison; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Calvin Sise Jr.; step daughters, Myra Potter, Charlsey Bradford; grandchildren, Greg Allison, Calvin Sise III, Kim Kistner, Chris Sise, Nickalas Allison; great grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Austin, Trevor, Zach, Kelsey and Emily; brothers, Henry and Clyde Crawford; sister, Kallie Lauderdale; several nieces and nephews. Floyd E. Climer - age 79 of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Friday morning, March 31, 2006 in Lima. Floyd served in the U. S. Navy Coast Guard and was a retired insurance salesman. Preceded in death by daughter, Nancy Climer Allen; parents, Minnis Guy Climer, Sr. and Harriet Norris Climer; one brother. A member of Primitive Baptist Church of Lenoir City. Tommy retired from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill after 47 years service. He was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Air Force. Charles E. - age 85 of Lenoir City,
passed away Wednesday morning April 12, 2006 at his home. Charles was a
member of Highland Park Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class. He
was a veteran of W.W.II serving the U.S. Army. He was wounded in combat and
awarded the Purple Heart. Charles was one of the first to land on Normandy
Beach. A member of American Legion Post #70 and D.A.V. Post #1090. He was
retired from Rust Engineering and was a member of Teamsters Local #519.
Preceded in death by his parents, James Taylor and Amelia Andrews Wilcox;
sisters, Nelle Spradling, Nora Hartwell, Lil Souder, Linda Mills, Thelma

Gregory K. Maples Sr., age 75 of Knoxville, TN, passed away Tuesday evening, April 25, 2006 at his home. Greg was born July 27, 1930 in Middlesboro, KY. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Greg was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a Kentucky Boy Scout Commissioner, a Kentucky Colonel, and Vice President of the Kentucky Jaycees. Greg was a CLU in the insurance business for 38 years. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was an usher for 20 years. Greg was a member of the Concord Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Anna Maples; sister, Elizabeth Puckett. Survivors: wife of 52 years, Barbara F. Maples; daughters, Elizabeth (Beth) Maples of Farragut, Laura Maples of Villa Hills, KY; son, Gregory K. Maples Jr. of Ft. Kenny Wayne Dougherty, age 59 of Farragut went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, April 25, 2006 at home. Kenny was a Christian. He was retired from ORNL. He was a veteran of the National Guard during the Vietnam War. Kenny enjoyed gospel music and reading. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors: parents, Everett R. and Hazel Dougherty; mother, Helen Wade; children, Michael Dougherty, Bernadette Hammond, Matthew Dougherty DO; grandchildren, Emma Dougherty and Ashton Hammond; brothers, Warren, Jimmy and John Wade all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Donald Ross Boring, age 69 of Concord passed away Wednesday evening, April 26, 2006 at Hill Crest North Nursing Home. Ross was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid horseman and antique dealer. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, C.A. and Hallie Boring; brother, Ray Boring; sister, Dixie Boring Cox. Survivors: daughter, Niki Boring Price; grandson, Mason Price; Alga Boring, Niki's mother; Hazel Sapps, Niki's grandmother; sister, Kathlyn Boring Davis; brother, Ben Boring; special niece, Lynn Dell Kimbrough; several nieces and nephews. Adam Christoper Dean, age 23 of Farragut joined the Heavenly Father on Thursday evening, April 27, 2006 at Park West Hospital. Adam was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He attended Farragut High School. Adam lived his life in joy and taught his friends and family much about faith and love. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbur and Myrtle Dean; Sterling Wigren. Survivors: parents, Stephen and Nancy Dean; sister, Whitney Dean Gallardo, husband Justin and their son, Jackson; brother, Travis Dean all of Farragut; grandmother, Adelaide Wigren of Signal Mountain; several aunts and uncles. , Carole Yvonne - age 71 of the
Tellico Village Community in Loudon, TN, passed away Saturday morning ,
April 29, 2006, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She attended
Tellico Village Community Church. Carole retired from Oakwood Hospital in
Dearborn, Michigan after nearly 25 years service. She was preceded in death
by her parents, Don and Edna Hart Wagner, Survived by her husband of 50
years, Ken Weiler; sons and daughters-in-law: Eric and Diana Weiler of
Colleyville, TX, Kevin and Pam Weiler of Bonita, CA, Scott and Lara Weiler
of Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren: Danielle (Ellie) Weiler, Jack Weiler
and Maison Weiler; sister, Donna (Wagner) Aebi and husband, Jim of Elwood,
IN; step-mother, Sadie Coy Wagner of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-law, Jane
Weiler Barbieri of Findlay, OH. A celebration of Carole’s life will be held
at 11 a.m Tuesday, May 2, at Tellico Village Community Church. Rev. Martin
Singley will officiate. Special music will be provided by Ron and Alva Shipe,
Jean Jones, Cindy Rausin and Walter Hines of Trinity Methodist Church in
Lenoir City. Carole’s ashes will be buried in Abbottsville Cemetery in

James William (Jim) Prag, age 69 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Waukesha, WI, passed away early Friday morning, April 28, 2006 at his home, after a long battle with cancer. Jim was member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha, WI. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U S Navy. Jim was retired from Cooper Power Systems after 22 years of service. Survivors: wife of 45 years, Margaret Prag; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Thomas Trapp of Salem CT, Amy and Brad Wilkerson of Kingston, TN; grandchildren, Amelia, David, Michaela, Lydia, Sarah, Daniel, Maria, Hannah Joy and Joseph Trapp; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Sherry Prag of Kissimmee, FL; several nieces and nephews.
