Moody, Martha Finney age 95 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away Thursday Dec. 2 at NHC Farragut. Martha was an active member of Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield for over 80 years, was very involved in the choir and the church music program. She founded and directed the church's Youth Choir for some 30 years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. In other community endeavors, she was active in the King's Daughters and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. As a professional contralto, Martha sang in a Quartet at the Temple B'Rith Shalom in Springfield for 40 years, and was a soloist at a number of other Springfield churches throughout the years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Moody in 1987; parents, Oscar and Carrie (Sours) Finney; brothers, Everett and Glenn Finney. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jerry Seiler of Knoxville, TN; sons, J. Richard Moody of San Pedro, CA; Robert Moody and wife Susan of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Nancy Moritz and husband Dan of Prior Lake, MN; Rev. Erma was the oldest member of the New Midway Southern Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Pickel; parents, James A. and Addie Wright Green; sons, James W. Felker, Mrs. Leron Faye Rodgers, age 86,  passed away in Knoxville, TN  on Sunday, Decemnber 5, 2004, at the East Tennessee Hospice Center.   Mrs. Felker was born April 12, 1918, in Alcorn County, MS and spent most of her life in Corinth, MS.  She retired as quality control supervisor in 1986 from Garan, Inc.  In 1993 she moved to Tennessee to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Corinth.  She was the beloved mother of Danny, David, Dennis, and Brenda.   Leron had a loving heart and a giving spirit.  She was willing to share all she had with others.   Her wonderful sense of humor was a delight to all.  She will be greatly missed.  Mrs. Felker was preceded in death by her parents, A. Bailey, Reaford R. (Rusty) - age 76 of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, December 7. 2004.  He served in the U. S. Air Force.  Rusty retired from Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge.  He was a former employee of Yale Security.  He was a member of Ft. Payne, Ralph - age 80 of Lenoir City, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2004, in his home with his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born February 22, 1924 in Copper Hill, TN to John and Lennie Payne.   Ralph served in the U. S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.  He was retired from ORNL X-10 after 32 years service as a pipefitter.  Ralph was also a 50 years member of the UA (United Association of Pipefitters.)  After retirement he worked independently as a professional handyman.  He lived 30 years in Maryville before moving to Lenoir City.  He loved his family very much and was a devoted husband to his wife, Lottie who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease.  He visited her faithfully at the nursing home as long as he could.  He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all he met.  Many described Ralph Payne as a man who never met a stranger.  He was kind, compassionate, funny, and had a huge heart.  He will be sorely missed by all who crossed paths with him.  He had many passions and talents, including nature, fishing, gardening, and storytelling.  He excelled at everything he did.  Ralph was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Hipsher, Walter Miles age 52 of Farragut, TN, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, December 8, 2004, in Louisville, KY. Walt was conducting Emergency Response Training for the City of Louisville Police and Fire Department. He was owner of T2 Services, a transportation and radiation safety consulting firm. Walt served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Nuclear Submarine Service. He was an Asst. Scout Master with Troop 444, Boy Scouts of America in Farragut. He was active for several years with the Great Smoky Mountain Council. Walt was a member, Elder and youth leader of Farragut Presbyterian Church. He was an avid fisherman, artist and world traveler. Walt was a graduate of Purdue University, Lafayette, IN with a B.S. Degree in Biology with Advanced Studies in Nuclear Propulsion in the U S Navy. Wise, James Jerome (Jimmy) age 88 of the Fox Den Community, Farragut, TN, formerly of Aiken, SC, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, December 9, 2004 at the Farragut Health Care Center. Jimmy was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. He was retired from A. E. C., where he worked on the Breeder Reactor Project. He also worked for T V A for many years. Kalcevic, Victor age 85 of Farragut, TN, formerly of Denver, CO, Anvil Points, CO, and Midland, MI, passed away Wednesday evening, December 15, 2004 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Victor retired in 1994 from International Technology, formerly a division of Dow Chemical Company, as a chemical engineer.  He was awarded numerous patents in chemical and process engineering.  Victor was a veteran of World War II serving as a Lt. in the US Navy.  Victor was an avid card player, fisherman and loved to crochet for others.  He was an active leader in Scouting.  He was a dedicated and loving caregiver for his wife from the onset of her dementia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna and his sisters Anna and Clara.  He is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 57 years, his children Dan with wife Hildegard, Tim with wife Sue, Debb and Chris, his grandchildren Jennifer and Helen, his sister Frances Cutright with husband Ed as well as numerous further family, relatives and friends.  The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by Christian Wake Service at 5 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Catholic Curch with Father John Dowling officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in his name to the Alzheimers Association, East Tennessee Chapter, 2200 Sutherland Avenue, Suite H-102, Knoxville, TN 37919 or to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Globeville, P.O. Cole, Dr. Robert R. age 73 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Walnut Ridge, AR, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, December 14, 2004 while on vacation. Dr. Cole was a graduate of the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and received his pathology training at Duke University. He was a retired pathologist with Parkwest Hospital and the founding physician of Pathology Laboratories West. He was a motorcycling and boating enthusiast. Dr. Cole had enjoyed long journeys across the seas aboard freighter ships. He was a veteran of the U S Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Dr. Cole was preceded in death by his father, Howard Louis Cole. Survivors: wife, Linda Hardin Cole; children, Nancy L. Cooper, Earlie L. – age 89, of Farragut, TN, formerly of Meridian, MS, died at his home Sunday evening, December 19, with his wife and daughter at his side.  Earlie was a man who loved life and loved people, most especially his sweetheart of 64 years, Vi. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1982. In his retirement, he was the groundskeeper and greeter for his daughter's veterinary practice, Village Veterinary Clinic & Laser Center in Farragut, and is still remembered by many as he rode his lawnmower, wearing coveralls and a straw hat, waving to everyone.  Earlie was a deacon of First Baptist Church Concord, and served for years on the Landscaping Committee and also as a Trustee. He was a member of the West Knoxville Lions Club. He graduated from Berry College in 1938, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific during World War II.  He is survived by his wife, Vi, of Farragut; daughter and son-in-law Drs. Mili and Richard Bass of Farragut; son and daughter-in-law Bud and Sherrie Cooper of Jackson, MS; grandchildren Butch Cooper, Sharon Booker and husband Gary of Jackson, MS; great-grandson Tristan Booker of Jackson, MS; brother Roy Cooper of Meigs, GA; nieces and nephews Emily Smith and Alfred Burgess of Thomasville, GA; Martha Taylor of Norcross, GA; and Ray Cooper of Hilton Head, SC. Wood, Dorothy age 91 of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Monday afternoon, December 20, 2004 in Knoxville. Dottie was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in North Palm Beach, FL and the Christ Child Society. She was retired from Mobil Oil Company in Philadelphia. Dottie was very outgoing and active until the last days of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Robinson, Reed L. age 86 of Farragut, formerly of Madisonville,  passed away suddenly Tuesday December 21, 2004 at his home. Reed was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. He was  retired from Union Carbide as a chemical operator. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving in the 517th Parachute Infantry during World War II. Carlton,  Mildred Coleman - age 98 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, December 24, 2004, at Ft. Loudon Medical Center.  She was a native of Martin, TN.  She and her husband were married 73 years before his death in 2001.  She was preceded in death by her husband, A. A. Carlton, who was pastor of Baptist churches in several East Tennessee counties.  She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City, and was a resident of Baptist Health Care Center.  Survived by children, Ellis H. Smith, Jennifer J'Neane age 31 of Knoxville left this earth to soar with the angels, on December 27, 2004. J'Neane  was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Carson Newman College. She was a survivor of kidney disease since April of 1989. J'Neane never allowed the disease to take away her love of life and the ability to always be able to overcome the medical road blocks she encountered. She received the gift of life from her father, James, June 20, 2002. She viewed that as her second birth and was blessed with two years without dialysis. This past year was a year of being happy, healthy and doing all the things she considered normal. She leaves behind, waiting their reunion, her mother, Virginia; father, James; beloved brothers, Adam and Anthony; whom she loved unconditionally; aunts and uncles, Harold and Flo Fry (whom she considered as her second mother), Sue and Frank McCarter, Joyce and Charles McMahan, Paul Smith her precious granny, Irene Smith; her special friend and sister of the heart, Donna Kathy Beard, who shared her life and her dreams and was with her when her spirit soared; Wesley Beard who she referred to as her second dad; Susan and Greg Foreman who gave her the special gift of sharing their angel babies with her, her love for Gracie and Garrett gives them their guardian angel forever; Radley Lockmiller, who was always there when she needed that special friend to share time with; many cousins, including Tami Warren, who shared her childhood memories and her daughter Madison; all the children that touched her heart and numerous friends, that if life counts you rich with friendship. She was given unending friendship returned. J'Neane was preceded in life and met at the gate of eternal life by her uncle, William (Red) Greene, who grandson Darren she cherished; special friend, Rudy Stinson, who life she celebrated and always kept in her heart. W. II serving in the U. S. Babb, Dr. Charles Worthy - age 66 of Franklin, Tn., formerly of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a short illness.  He was a member of Belle Meade Methodist Church in Nashville and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro.  For over 30 years he made his career at Middle Tennessee State University, serving 2 terms as Faculty Senate President.  He was a charter member of the Mid-South Research Education Association where he also served as president.  He received numerous grants and awards from professional associations. His writings were published in a variety of scholarship journals. Dr. Babb initiated several programs in the Department of Elementary and Special Education at M.T.S.U.  including the annual Math Contest, the Invention Convention and implementation of the EFG Curriculum at Homer Pittard Campus School.   He also served as the department’s chair from 1994 to 1998.  Worthy received his Doctorate Degree from the University of Alabama.  He was a member and past president of Kiwanis Club in Murfreesboro.  Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Frances Babb.  Survived by his wife of 42 years, Helen Gustafson Babb; children, Betsy Babb Kennedy and husband, Rob of Nashville, Chris Babb and wife, Heather of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Bo and Clare Frances Kennedy, Jack Babb; sisters, Jacque Hines and husband, Douglas of Lenoir City, Jo Anne Smith and husband, A. Fookes, Margaret Rodger - of Lenoir City formerly of Aiken, S. C. entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 27, 2004.  She was born in Hammond, N.Y..  She was a longtime member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Aiken, S.C.  Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Parkerson, Mildred K. - age 87, of Lenoir City, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Ft. Loudoun Medical Center.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City.  Preceded in death by husband, W. E. Parkerson; son, Bill Parkerson; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Buddy McCarroll; brother, Glen Ellis; sisters, Mary Nell Shaver and Alice Faye Robbins.  Survived by daughter-in-law, Marilyn Parkerson; grandsons, Tony Parkerson and wife, Sandy and their children, Tucker and Hayley; Greg Parkerson and children, Jamie, Cory and Jade; sisters, Freida McNabb and husband, John Henry McNabb and Nora Plant; brother-in-law, Gene Shaver; sisters-in-law, Alice Ellis and Pat Ellis; many nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Click-Hawkins Chapel, 102 B Street, Lenoir City.  Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m Sunday.  Burial will follow in Lenoir City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2085 Simpson Road E., Lenoir City, TN 37772.  Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Mildred K. Armstrong, Mary Lily - age 75 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, December 31, 2004 at her home from natural causes.  She was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God.  Retired from U. T. Agriculture Extension Office.  Preceded in death by parents, John William Packett and Dovie Faye Packett; brothers, Joe Paul Packett and John William Packett Jr.  She is survived by sons, Samuel R. Wilkerson of Loudon and Leonard W. Armstrong of Lenoir City; sisters, Georgia Petty, Ella Mae Pruitt both of Lenoir City and Virginia Ruth Taylor of Vista, Arizona; grandchildren, Samuel Armstrong, Andrew Armstrong, Nathan Armstrong and Matthew Armstrong; several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
