Martin, Dr. Robert Lloyd age 68 of Concord passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2003 at his home. Dr. Martin was a retired Obstetrician and Emergency Physician. Most recently he was a physician at DRD of Knoxville. He was a loving husband and father with many varied interests including golf. He was also an avid UT sports fan. Dr. Martin  took a personal interest in the welfare of his many friends and patients. He served two tours of duty in Korea with the US Marine Corps. Survivors: daughter, Hilary Anne Martin of Knoxville and her mother, Kathleen C. Martin of Winnetka, IL; cousin, Patricia Heckman of St. Anne, IL and many friends.  A mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut with Father John Dowling celebrant. Smith, Gary Alan Sr.- age 58 of Pikeville, formerly of Lenoir City,  passed away Sunday, February 2, 2003 at the Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital in Pikeville. He attended Shadyville Church of God. Gary was a retired construction engineer. He wasa graduate of Lenoir City High School and Hiwassee College. Adams, Barbara J. Stansberry  age 65 of Lenoir City passed away Monday morning February 3, 2003 at Park West Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Mark Edward Kirkland, and her parents Joe and Frances Stansberry.  Survived by husband, Clinton C. Hawn, Clyde L. age 71 of Farragut, passed away Tuesday morning, February 4, 2003 at Park West Hospital. Clyde was very active in the Farragut community serving on the Farragut Municipal Planning Commission, served as chairman of the McFee Rd. Park Committee and was a FUN volunteer( Farragut Unsung Navy). He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Army. Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Hawn. Hampton, Carl (Big Daddy)- age 84, of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, February 6, 2003 in a local hospital after a short illness. Carl was born August 21, 1918 in Tellico Plains and was a lifelong resident of Lenoir City. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. A member of Local #917 and a member of International Union of Operating Engineers for over 60 years. Carl served in the United States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by parents, Dock and Della Crowder Hampton. Mansfield, Ruth W. of Tellico Village Community, Loudon, Tennessee formerly of Waterford, Michigan passed away Sunday, February 9, 2003 at her home with her family after a long illness.  Born in Crowell, Texas March 3, 1919.  After her parents died she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Delbert and Gay Owens.  She worked at the Pontiac Letter Shop in early life and went to work at Pontiac Motor during World War II.  She later went to work for Oakland County as a secretary to the county accountant.  She married Arthur Mansfield and they purchased The Pontiac Letter Shop where they had met.  They established Gayanne's Floral Concepts, a floral shop in Waterford, Michigan for their daughter, Gayanne.  Much of their life was spent in active work with the Elks Lodge of Pontiac - Waterford.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Pontiac, Michigan.  Preceded in death by parents, Delbert and Gay Owens; sister, Marie Lawler. Ruth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Arthur M. Moats, David L. age 53 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly, February 11, 2003 while coon hunting in Loudon Co.  He attended Sixth Avenue Church of God.  David owned and operated Little M Market #1 for 27 years.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He operated Sugar Limb Blue Tick Kennel where he bred and raised Blue Tick Coon Hounds .  A member of BBCHA, BBOA and Coon Hunters Association.  He was a Master of Hounds and had written articles for magazines.  Most of all he loved the Lord and witnessed to patron's at his store.  Preceded in death by father, Carl R. Smelser, Charles W. age 71 of Kingston, TN, formerly of Boca Raton, FL and Bloomfield Hills, MI passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was a member of Bradbury United Methodist Church. Retired from IBM as an engineer. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Quincy. She was retired from the Isotope Sales Office at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Potter, James Paul - age 79 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday evening, February 21, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Loudon Medical Center. He was a member of Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A retired welder with Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 102.  J.P. served with the United States Marine Corp. First Division during World War II. He and his family formerly resided along Smith Road at Fox Den where he was an avid participant with the local foxhunters group. Preceded in death by parents, George and Gertrude Potter along with ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife 55 of years, Etta Morris Potter; son, Bruce Potter of Lenoir City; daughter, Paula Triplett and her husband, John currently residing in India; grandchildren: Patricia and Amanda Triplett, Jeniffer, Alyssa and Jordan Paul Potter; several nieces and nephews.. Houston, Jerry Donald- age 45 of Manchester, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Monday morning, February 24,2003 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Jerry served in the United States Army and worked in the concrete industry. He was preceded in death by his father, John Calvin Houston Sr. and his sister, Norma Gayle Chandler. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Olivia Janell Houston of Lenoir City; mother, Dorothy Chrisman of Lenoir City; brothers: John C. Houston Jr. Milton Houston, and James Chrisman all of Lenoir City, Marvin Houston of Blytheville, Arkansas; sisters: Jean Wiggins of Leoma, Betty Granneman of Beech Grove and Susan Sipes of Pell City, Alabama; several nieces and nephews. Llewellyn, Eleanor Nicholls age 79 of Knoxville, formerly of Roanoke, VA and Summitt Hill, PA, passed away early Thursday morning December 5, 2002 at Park West Medical Center. Eleanor was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was a former high school teacher in Pennsylvania. Eleanor was an avid hiker and was a wonderful artist. Survivors: husband of 55 years, Sam Llewellyn; son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Christine Llewellyn of Knoxville; grandson, Andrew; sisters, Margaret Marsden of Orlando, FL and Joan Treweek of Gainesville, FL; several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services and inurnment will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Blackwell, Blanche McCown age 96 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at the Farragut Nursing Home. Blanche was a retired Sevier Co. School Teacher. A member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husbands, Robert N. Newhard and William R. Blackwell; sister, Anna Gentry Watson. Survivors include nephew, James Gentry and sister, Betty Helm both of Knoxville. Amos, Dortha Geraldine (Gerry) Large age 81 of Loudon passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Niota, TN August 16, 1921 to Charlie and Viola Forrester Large. She attended White Wing Nazarene Church. Past D. A. R. Regent General William Lenoir Chapter. Gerry, a decendant of Campbell Station founder, David Campbell, was very active in genealogy, including the Heritage Books for Loudon, McMinn, Monroe and Roane Counties. She participated in many Scottish festivals. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Louis Ross Large and Charles Wayburne Large. Martin, Rev. Maggie Garner - age 85 of Branchville, S.C., formerly of Lenoir City,  passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2003 in Orangeburg, S.C. Maggie was a member of the Church of God. She and her husband, the late Theodore G. Martin pastored many churchs in South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Marshall and Eliza Keeble Garner; brothers: Martin Garner, Theodore V. Garner, Leon Garner and Herbert Glenn Garner; sister, Zora Garner Stout. She is survived by her sisters, Callie Garner Johnston of Lenoir City and Leora Garner Chamberlain of Spring City along with several nieces and nephews. Reynolds, Dr. William C. (Bill) age 77 of Tellico Village Community, Loudon, Tn. passed away Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Blount Memorial Hospital.  Bill obtained his Undergraduate Degree from Tulane University, received his Masters Degree from Georgia Tech University and his Doctorate Degree from University of Alabama.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Korean War.  He retired as Chairman of the Board from Foster Wheeler Corporation.  Bill was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.   Preceded in death by parents, William C. Reynolds Sr. and Margaret C. Reynolds; first wife, Mary R. Kirkland Reynolds; son, Hugh Clardy Reynolds.  Survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Pointon Reynolds; son, William C. Hollis, Howard T. age 77 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly, Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Loudon Medical Center.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Howard was a retired lock operator with T. V. A. Corp. of Engineers working at several dams.  He served in W. W. II with the U. S.
