Draper, Frances J. Age 71, of Farragut TN, formerly of Nashville and San Angelo, TX, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on January 1, 2004.  Frances was of the Baptist faith.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She also loved her pets, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.  Frances was a retired employee of Sears and Roebuck, and did lots of traveling as a military wife.  She was preceded in death by her mother Etta Lee Frensley, brother Joe Frensley, and an infant daughter, Diana Lee.  She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clifford C. McCracken, T. William (Bill) age 56 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Edinboro, Pa, and Pittsburgh, Pa, passed away unexpectedly January, 1, 2004 at his home. Bill was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. He was a residential contractor in Knoxville for 23 years, having developed several sub divisions. Bill received his Bachelors of  Education degree from Edinboro State College where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. He was a member of Gettysvue Country Club, an avid golfer and fisherman.  Bill was an active member of Rocky Hill Social Club. He enjoyed participating in the Sport of Kings, owning several thoroughbred race horses. Bill was a devoted follower and staunch supporter of Notre Dame Football. He was preceded in death by his parents, T. William Sr. and Genevieve McCracken. Survivors: wife of 29 years, Trudy Donovan McCracken; son, Chris McCracken; brother, John David McCracken of Pittsburgh, PA. Gardner, Ferris James (U.S. Navy Retired)- age 73 of Kingston, passed away Wednesday morning, January 7, 2003, at the Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Childs Memorial Baptist Church and Union Masonic Lodge #38 F&AM. Ferris retired from the United States Navy after 22 years including service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Kirkland, Oscar Henry - age 98, of Lenoir City, went to be with Jesus Sunday morning, January 11, 2004. He was a member and Deacon at Hensley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. A graduate of the Stamps-Baxter School of Music, Oscar taught music in many of the area churches in Loudon, Blount, Monroe and surrounding counties. He and his brothers sang together in a music group called "The Kirkland Boys". He was employed as a farm equipment salesman for many years and was a parts man for Vulcan Materials when he retired at age 65. He then was employed by Metler's Hauling and Rigging Inc., and retired from there at age 85. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Florence (Millsaps) Kirkland; sisters, Cora Livesay, Isabell Perkins and infant sister; brothers: Alden, Anderson, Ernest, Fabor and Gilbert; step-mother, Florrie Furrow Kirkland. Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Thelma (Bolt) Kirkland; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Sue and Hans G. Vige of Jacksonville, Florida and Glenda Sharlene and Roger C. Helton, Tabitha (Tabby) - age 18 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Sunday morning, January 11, 2003 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was a member of First Church of God on Finley Drive in Lenoir City.  A 2003 graduate of Lenoir City High School.  Tabby was President of Amnesty International in High School and was a Human Rights Activist.  She was an organ donor and her life saved six lives.  She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Clarence Stinnett and Howard Helton.  Survived by her parents, Kimberly Stinnett of Lenoir City and Jeff Helton and wife, Marilyn all of Lenoir City; sister, Cierra Helton of Lenoir City; stepsister, Mandy Watson; grandparents, Nell Stinnett and Benda Helton; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Will, Pat, Curtis and Warren. Newby, Basil Reed age 56 of Knoxville passed away Monday morning, January 12, 2004 at his home. Basil was born in Haynesville, LA. He was of the Methodist faith. He was retired from AETNA Life and Casualty as a claims supervisor. Basil was an avid bridge player, a member of the American Contract Bridge League achieving the rank of Silver Life master and one cool dad. He was a retired Petty Officer First Class in the U S Navy with over 20 years of service. Maples, Ailene Margaret - age 83 of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2004, at the Baptist Health Care Center.She was of the Baptist Faith.  Ailene was retired from Yale Security.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Keith, Frances Katherine - age 90 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday morning, January 16, 2003, at the Baptist Health Care Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City and a retired school teacher with Lenoir City Schools. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Blackwell II, Harry M., age 61, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Greensburg, PA and Appleton, WI, died at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2004, following a lengthy, courageous battle against lung disease. Harry was the longest surviving single-lung transplant from the University of  Pittsburgh Regional Medical Center. Despite the debilitating disease, he remained upbeat and kept his sense of humor to the end. He was an inspiration to his family and his many friends.  Harry was of the Methodist faith and attended Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut. He was born November 11, 1942, in Greensburg, PA, to the late Harry M. and Dorothy M. Blackwell. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1960. He married Gloria Smith, his high school sweetheart. They would have celebrated their 42nd anniversary on  January 26. He attended Lehigh University and graduated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, in 1965 with a BBA in accounting. He received a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971.  He was certified by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Institute of Internal Auditors. During college, he worked full time to support his family while continuing his full time college education. From 1965-1968 Harry worked for Arthur Anderson and Co in Pittsburgh as an auditor.  From 1968 to 1971 he was employed by the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad in Pittsburgh, as an internal auditor. He worked at Kimberly-Clark Corporation from 1971-1996 in Neenah, WI, Puerto Rico and Knoxville, TN as an internal auditor and corporate accounting/financial/internal control manager. He retired in 1996 for health reasons. Mr. Blackwell was active in the Bethel Park, PA, Jaycees. He was an advisor for the Neenah Public Schools (WI) Co-op program. In Knoxville he served as a director in the Sedgefield and the Greywood Crossing Homeowner Associations. Harry loved his family, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed bowling, golf, shooting pool, and playing cards, especially the challenge of bridge. A priority in his life was nurturing and maintaining friendships with people from all phases of his life. Harry is survived by his wife, Gloria, sons, James (Ivy) Blackwell of Florence, SC; and Jay (Cheri) Blackwell, Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Jason Blackwell of Appleton,WI and Joan Marie Andrews of Florence, SC.  Other survivors include his uncle Jim Lapp, Wheeling, WV; brother-in-laws Frank (Therese) Smith and Ed (Charlene) Smith of Greensburg, PA; Glenn (Mary) Smith of Youngwood, PA; sister-in-law Maxine Smith of Youngwood, PA. and nieces and nephews. Frazier, Joseph age 71 of Farragut, formerly of the Tellico Village Community,   passed away Tuesday evening, January 20, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice Center. Joseph was born in Chicago, Illinois and was a residential builder. He and his wife later moved to Tellico Village where he resumed residential building. He built many homes and served as President of the Home Builders Association of Tennessee, Loudon Chapter. He was also active in Habitat for Humanity.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army in the Military Police. Marler, Nicholas Rose - age 65 of Vonore, TN, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2004, at his home. Nicholas was a retired engineer working with the Department of Energy and the Navy Nuclear Program. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Dorchester Masonic Lodge in Charleston, SC. Davis, Robert W. - of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, TN, passed away Thursday morning, January 22, 2004. Robert was born in Defiance, OH and also resided in Cincinnati, OH, Dallas, TX and Tokyo, Japan. He was a member of Central United Methodist in Lenoir City where he sang in the Chancel Choir. Robert was a retired partner with the accounting firm, Price, Waterhouse, Cooper. He taught at the University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Christian University in the College of Accounting and Auditing. He served as a financial adviser with the Dallas Summer Musical. Robert served his country in World War II and was a LT. JG in the Navy. Rose, William Fonde - age 81 of Loudon, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2004, in Johnson City.  He was retired from the U. S. Army where he served in W. W. II and Korea.  Bill was a Purple Heart Recipient and received 2 Bronze Stars.  He was a member of Sweetwater D.A.V. and V.F.W.  Preceded in death by parents, William Wesley and Alice Patty Rose; wife, Lillian Bird Rose; sisters, Geraldine Ryan, Jessie Rose, Ellen Lunsford, Pauline Stringfield, Dollie Wheeler and Dovie Rose; brothers, Esco Rose, Calvin Rose and Cary Rose.  Survived by sister, Lottie Bonner of Kingston; many nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Mary Rose of Vonore.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  Family and friends will gather at Click Funeral Home by 12 noon Friday and proceed to Sweetwater Valley Memory Gardens for 1 p.m. graveside services.  Military honors will be conferred by V F W Post 5156.  Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of William F. Adams, Dale Everett - age 65 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at his home.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City.  Dale was a professional land surveyor and a retired machine design engineer.  He served in the Army National Guard.  He was preceded in death by his father, J. E. Adams and an infant son.  Survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara MacMillan Adams; daughter, Amanda Pearce and husband, Robert of Knoxville; two much loved and "FANTASTIC" grandchildren, Jared and Katie Pearce of Knoxville; mother, Thelma Adams of Lenoir City; brother, Dink Adams and wife, Carol of Powell, sisters, Voncile Dykes and husband, Joel of Brandon, FL, Dorothy Ramsey and husband, Lowell, Janice Campbell and husband, Ken, and Marty Baker- Witt and husband, James all of Knoxville; many nieces and nephews and their children.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with funeral services to follow at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Moran, Adena Lunsford Campbell , age 42 of West Knoxville, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. Adena was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lovell Lunsford. Survivors: son, William Aaron Campbell of Nashville; mother, Reva Baxter Day of West Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Susan Kenethe and Billy Ray Bradford of Farragut; fiancee, Ray Villenasor of West Knoxville. Petty, Sharon Thompson - age 48, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004, at the Loudon Health Care Center. She was of the Baptist Faith and a former musician. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Petty and her mother, Shirley Corley Thompson. She is survived by her father, Bernice Thompson; brothers: Allan, Mike and Darryl Thompson; mother-in-law, with whom she had made her home, Maggie Petty. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Monday morning in the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Knable, Mary Jane age  54, born January 9, 1950 passed away from a lingering illness on January 31, 2004. Ms. Knable was formerly employed by the University Of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Wilburn Jr. and Mary Lou Wilburn.. She is survived by her son, Adam Knable of Maryville; step-mother, Aldene Wilburn; sister and brother-in-law, Andrea Millard and Dr. Bobby Millard of White Pine; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Phyllis Wilburn; brother, Jeff Wilburn of Lenoir City; aunt and uncle, Helen and Ralph Shipley; nephews, Ryan Willburn of Portland, Oregon, Dr. Joe Millard of Knoxville, Michael Millard of Orlando, Fla.; nieces, Julie Wilburn Peeler of Chapel Hill, N.C., Tracey Beth Wilburn of Knoxville; cousins, Ann Allen and Ed Shipley.
