| Chambers, Myrtle Alice (Myrtie) - age 81 of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday morning, January 2, 2005. Myrtle was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City and retired from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack W. Chambers; brother, Raymond Collins; sisters, Anna Faye Kirkland and Imogene Collins. Survived by sisters, Frances Melton of Lenoir City and Beryl Dean Law of Marietta, GA; 4 nephews and one niece. | McKain, Robert Lee - age 68 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away suddenly January 3, 2005. Bob was born in Wolf Summit, WV. He retired from Standard Register, was founder of Oriole Software and was an executive vice-president of Black and Decker. Bob was an avid golfer and a fan of West Virginia University sports. Preceded in death by brother Bill McKain and twin brother Dick McKain; sisters Betty McKain and Evelyn Tiano; parents William D. and Minnie C. McKain. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah McKain; children Greg McKain and wife Lynn of Baltimore, MD, Cheryl Wingler and husband Doug of Baltimore, MD, Gary McKain of Atlanta, GA., Brian McKain and wife Patsy of Haymarket, VA.; grandsons, Dan and Greg Jagielski of Baltimore, MD., Patrick McKain of Haymarket, VA.; sister Kay Phetterplace of Bradford, PA. and sister and brother-in-law Flo and Bob McCarty of Bridgeport, WV.; sisters-in-law, Nola McKain of Parkersburg, WV and Mary Lou McKain of Wheeling, WV; and many nieces and nephews. Monday, January 3, 2005. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church
for over 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother.
Preceded in death by parents, Edgar William Galyon and Nancy Electie Malone;
brothers, S. J. Galyon and sister, Bonettta Alloway. Survived by her
husband of 58 years, Carl H. Dutton; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and
Susie Dutton of Kingston; grandsons, Adam Dutton of Johnson City and Jeff
Dutton of Kingston; sisters, Edna Faye Gardner of Lawton, OK, Phyllis Norman

| Reynolds, Marie Belcher - age 74 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, January 3, 2005. She was retired from Yale and Town. Marie attended Silver Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Reynolds; son, Ray Reynolds; parents, Oscar and Gladys Belcher; sisters, Callie Moore, Ruth West, Ruby Russell and Tena Huff; brothers, Ben, Bill and Gene Belcher, Albert Wilson. SCALES, Jeane Mulder,
85, of Farragut and formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away Friday morning,
Jan. 7, 2005. She was preceded in death by her former husband and business
partner, Charles Philip Scales. They were owners of Warehouse Distributors
Inc., an automotive parts distributor in Atlanta. She was survived by 3
daughters Phylis Garrison of Farragut, Irene Robinson of Macon, GA, and
Doris Davis of Powder Springs, GA, as well as her 93 year-old brother, John
Mulder of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren include: Chris Simmons, Claudia
Stallings, Jenny Aguilar, Paula Lewis, Alan Davis and Jackie Castellow and
there are 6 great-grandchildren. Jeane was an active Kappa Delta alumnae,
helping to establish the chapter at Vanderbilt University in Nashville; a
volunteer at Egleston Children's Hospital and a member of Sandy Springs
Christian Church, both in Atlanta. Family will receive friends for a
memorial service, celebrating her life, at the Click Funeral Home Farragut
Chapel at 2:00 on Monday, January 10 with the Reverend Catherine Nance

| Mitchell, Blake E. age 84 of Knoxville, passed away at noon on Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Baptist Hospital West. A graduate of Georgia Tech and licensed, professional engineer, he was employed by Union Carbide in Oak Ridge for 40 years and was part of the Manhattan Project. The project that he enjoyed most, in his long career, was the desalting of seawater. He was an avid golfer and charter member of both Deane Hill Country Club and Fox Den Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Ruth and Paul J. Mitchell, and eldest brother, Raymond B. Mitchell. He leaves behind his beloved wife, June, son, Michael B. Mitchell, daughter, Jeanie M. Humphrey and son-in-law, Michael Lynn Humphrey, his cherished grandson, Michael Shane Humphrey. He also leaves behind a brother, Paul J. Mitchell, Jr. and sister, Sarah Ruth Bilbro, both of Griffin, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at a later date. | Foster, Timothy Richard age 43 of Pulaski, formerly of Knoxville and Erwin, passed away suddenly Friday, January 7, 2005 in Montana. Tim graduated from Unicoi County High School and from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and a Master's Degree in English. He taught at ETSU, then moved to Knoxville and taught at Roane State and Pellissippi State. He moved to Pulaski, Tennessee to teach English at Martin Methodist University. Tim loved to snow ski, fish, deer hunt, and turkey hunt. He especially loved the "Big Sky" country in Montana, where he died doing what he loved the most, snow skiing in Whitefish, Montana. Tim was an intelligent, articulate, quiet, simple man with a gentle, unassuming way. He was his sister's very best friend. Tim was the son of Wilma Foster Huskins and Richard Esten Foster, both of Erwin and both deceased. Tim is survived by his sister and brother in law, Jill and Jay Beeler, and two nieces, Holly Marlowe and Taylor Womac, both of Knoxville. He leaves behind many who loved and admired him, extended family, friends, students, and faculty members. - age 79 of Lenoir City passed away Monday, January 10, 2005. He was a
member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church. A Baptist Minister for over 45 years
in Loudon and Knox Counties. Howard was retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak
Ridge. A member of Avery Masonic Lodge 593 F & AM and York Rite of
Knoxville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during W. W. II on
the U.S.S. Washington. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Agnes
Pratt and second wife,Betty Wilkerson Pratt; parents, Frank and Minerva
Pratt; brother, Ralph Pratt and sister, Barbara Pratt. Survived by his

| Atkins, Lena Davis Bloomer, 102 years of age, passed away Monday morning, January 10, 2005 at Little Creek Sanatarium, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, on August 26, 1902, and lived in Rogersville and Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, Virginia, where she lived for 32 years prior to her illness. She was the daughter of the late A.P. Davis and Paralee Bray Davis, both of Hawkins County, and was a descendant of one of the First Families of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by husbands Ray Lee Bloomer and Archie Atkins, and by one brother, Pat Davis, of Rogersville; two sisters, Hazel Davis, of Rogersville, and Kate (Mrs. Roy) Bledsoe, of Lindsay, California, and two sons-in-law. She is survived by daughters Mrs. William Wrigley (Virginia) of Atlanta, GA, and Mrs. Robert L. Richardson (Bette) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and one son, Kenneth R. Bloomer and daughter-in-law, Marion, of Knoxville, Tennessee. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Lena will be remembered for her love of life and people, her appreciation of music, her love of playing bridge, her love for her entire family, and her 99 years of good health and youthful appearance and attitude. Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday night, January 11, 2005 at her home. She
was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. Lee and brother, Ronnie
Wayne Lee. She is survived by her husband, Charles Abert; daughter,
Patricia Keener; son, Kirt Keener; stepsons, Chad Abert and Justin Abert;
father, Edward C. Lee Sr.; sisters, Debbie Abbott, Penny Miller, Sandy
Brown, Edna L. Manis, Johnnie K. Lee; brothers, Edward C. Lee Jr., Donnie
Ray Lee all of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. She was greatly

Lasater,
H. Alan Ph.D.
– age 73
of Knoxville, TN, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Park West Hospital. He
was a member of First Baptist Church, Knoxville. Dr. Lasater, the only
child of William C. and Novella Lasater, was raised in Paris, TN. During his
education at the University of Tennessee, he served in the U.S. Air Force
during the Korean War. After completing his undergraduate degree at the
University of Tennessee, he pursued his Masters and was awarded his Ph.D.
from Rutgers University in 1968. Dr. Lasater began his career with the
University of Tennessee in 1958 as a Lecturer in Statistics, eventually
rising to the position of Chairman, Athletic Board, Faculty Representative
for Athletics to NCAA and SEC, as well as the Acting Vice Chancellor for
Business and Finance. In 1972, he was a founding member of "The Institute
for Productivity Through Quality" at the University of Tennessee. In 1984,
he became a Founder and Vice President of Tennessee Associates International
(TAI), a firm active in developing and facilitating the creation and
implementation of improvement systems for clients in the USA, Europe, the
Middle East and the Pacific Rim. Dr. Lasater was named as a "Fellow of The
American Society for Quality". He was a lifetime member of the American
Radio Relay League, call letters, WA4IRG. Dr. Lasater is survived by his
wife, Linda Lasater; His children, Michael Lasater and wife Jennifer,
Knoxville, Scott Lasater, Fort Wayne, IN, stepchildren Meredith Montgomery
and husband Clint and James Kish; grandchildren, Luke Alan Lasater, Amy Jane
Lasater of Knoxville and Ciara Lasater, Fort Wayne, IN; mother of children,
Katherine Lasater of Knoxville. He is also survived by his cousin, Norma
Clayton, Paris, TN. Dr. Lasater was a great of communicator inside and out
of the classroom. He had the gift of encouragement and was a mentor to many
professionals in the statistics field, as well as to both his sons who also
majored in statistics. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his
famous comments such as "two things not the same are different". The family

| Fashbaugh, Robert Keith - age 82 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Ypsilanti, MI, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2005 at his home. He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City, TN. A veteran of the U. S. Air Force during W. W. II. Robert owned and operated Hayward’s Men’s Wear in Ypsilanti for over 20 years. He went on to retire from retail sales with Ideation Inc. of Ann Arbor, MI. He was a former president of the Ypsilanti Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Robert was former president of the Michigan Retailer’s Association and was active on a national level with the Retailer’s Association. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved to grill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lee Fashbaugh and sister, Olive Dieterle. Danko, Anne (Annie),
age 92, of Knoxville died Thursday morning, January 13, 2005 at Brakebill
Nursing Home. She had been a resident there for two months due to congestive
heart failure and other illnesses. She had moved to Knoxville over two years
ago to live near her daughter, Patricia Danko. Born in America but raised in
Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Danko returned to the United States in 1937 and worked
as a homemaker, mother of six children, and janitress at St. Francis
Hospital in Trenton, N.J. Mrs. Danko was a devout Catholic all of her life.
She had a great sense of humor and loved flower gardening and in her senior
years crocheting, bingo and dancing. Mrs. Danko was preceded in death by her
husband, Michael Danko; sons Julius and David Danko; and daughter Mary
Butler. Survivors include daughters Jo Ann Schmidt and husband Tom of
Columbia, S.C.; Margaret Dusichka and husband John of Trenton, N.J.; and
Patricia Danko of Knoxville. Additional survivors are 14 grandchildren and
15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7
p.m. Monday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a Rosary to
follow at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's

age 68 (Charlie) of Farragut, formerly of Nashville, passed away Monday
afternoon, January 17, 2005 at Parkwest Hospital. Charlie was a member and
Treasurer of First Farragut United Methodist Church, and a member of the
Horizon Sunday School Class. He was Vice President of Finance for Murray
Ohio Manufacturing Company. After his retirement, he moved to Farragut to
establish Comet Cleaners. He was an avid UT sports fan, a member of the
Knoxville Quarterback Club and the Lady Vols Boost-her Club. He was a
wonderful husband, father and papa. He was preceded in death by his mother,
Catherine Young Goss; aunt and uncle, Lula Mae and James S. Pratt; cousin,

| Wright, William Richard-Born in Loudon County, Tennessee, August, 1917. Died in Roswell, Georgia, January 17, 2005. Wright graduated from Lenoir City High School in 1936. Wright enjoyed the advice given for living by dedicated teachers of the public schools of Loudon County and Lenoir City, Tennessee. They kept hammering away at the theme that life was not always going to be a bowl of cherries, nor would it turn out to be a bowl of sour grapes either. Wright married Gladys Fritts of Lenoir City, Tennessee, in 1941, was enlisted into the infantry before WWII and honorably discharged after WWII. He spent five months in a military hospital (not combat related.) He worked briefly at ALCOA before attending Spartan School of Aviation on GI Bill to study meteorology. After Spartan, he followed a weatherman’s career leaving forwarding addresses at the post offices at Tulsa, OK, Jacksonville FL, Savannah, GA, Maryville, TN, Thomasville, GA, Augusta, GA, Winchester, VA, and Chattanooga, TN. After retirement in Chattanooga, Wright did a tour of duty as a TV weatherman for a Chattanooga station. He then moved to Newnan, GA to re-experience small town life. He picked up stakes again and moved to Roswell, GA, near his only child. He was a regional director of AARP. He served as a member of the National Red Cross Disaster Relief Team and worked several major disasters including hurricane Hugo. He is survived by a sister, Ellen Byrn, of Murfreesboro, TN, and a daughter, Virginia W. Strawderman, of Marietta, GA. Preceding him in death was his wife, Gladys Fritts Wright (2000), a sister, Ruby W. Williams. Whaley - age 73, of Lenoir City, went home to be
with the Lord Thursday, January 20, 2005, while in her home surrounded by
both her friends and family. She was a member of Friendship Missionary
Baptist Church and retired from Park West Hospital after 25 years of
service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Frank
B. Bledsoe. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Larry Scott
Bledsoe and fiancee’, Brenda Heath, Michael Wayne Bledsoe and wife, Cathy,
Bruce Lynn Bledsoe and wife, Terry; six wonderful grandchildren, Stephanie

member of Bradbury United Methodist Church where she was active with the
United Methodist Women, a song leader for over 50 years and recipient of the
United Methodist Women Award. Martha was very active in her community
serving as a Pink Lady at Roane Medical Center for 20 years and working
Roane County Elections. She was a Charter Member of the Home Demonstration
Club. Martha was also an avid quilter and a wonderful cook. She was preceded
in death by her husband of 59 years, Clayton L. Brashears; great
granddaughter, Mary Pauline Mathes and great grandson, Benjamin Daniel

| Fritz - Clara Elizabeth Wagner - age 97 of Tellico Village, Loudon, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Loudon Health Care Center. Clara E. Wagner was born in Lyons, New York on October 26, 1907. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Frances Wagner; her husband of 63 years, Ira Transue Fritz; 2 brothers and 2 sisters all from New York. Mrs. Fritz had resided in Port Charlotte, FL for the past 30 years but in 2003 moved to “the neighborhood” in Tellico Village to be near twin children, Gerald E. Fritz and wife, Rita and Joanne F. Kuhn and husband, Eugene both of Tellico Village. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a newly born great great grandchild. Mrs. Fritz was an avid gardener, golfer, bowler and painter until the age of 89. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 30th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with Rev. and her husband owned and operated Design Tech Associates in Lenoir City.
She was preceded in death by mother, Anna Ruth Jinks Smith and father,
William Sizemore. Survived by husband of 23 years, Don Tramell; children,
Jimmy Ogle and wife, Kaci, Andy Ogle and wife, Olivia, Ryan Tramell and
wife, Paige and Angela McCauley; grandchildren, Taylor Shultz, Abbie Beatty,

She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. A member of the Tellico Village Polish Heritage Club, Tellico Village Car Club and Tellico Riders MC. Katherine was formerly employed as a nuclear security guard at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station in Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Helen Michalak and son Christopher Jazwiecki. Survived by her husband of 36 years, David Jazwiecki; children, Terry Skiba, Gene Belinske, Linda Belinske and Diane Faris; grandchildren, Kristy Weaver, Kelly Skiba, Dalton Belinske and Grayden Faris. | Wilkerson, Millard Nile Sr. - age 86 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, January 31, 2005 at Farragut Health Care Center. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. A member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Millard was a member of Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM, Scottish Rite and Kerbela Temple. He was retired from Y-12, Oak Ridge where he worked as a security guard for over 30 years. Preceded in death by first wife, Eula Wilkerson and second wife, Vola Wilkerson; parents, Edd and Sallie Wilkerson; sister, Nina Giles; brothers: Leonard Raymond and Robert Lynn Wilkerson. Survived by son, Millard N. Wilkerson Jr. and wife, Sue; grandsons, Ed Wilkerson and wife, Lori, Eric Wilkerson and wife, Leigh Ann all of Lenoir City; half sister, Marge and half brother, Kenneth Paul Wilkerson; nieces, Thelma Brown and Betty Hughes. He attended Old Hickory Valley Church. Retired from Alcoa, Inc. where he
was a member of the 25 Year Club. Tommy was a longtime farmer. Preceded in
death by parents, Frank and Mada Long and brother, James Long. Survived by
his wife of 60 years, Jennie Bell Long; children, Howard T. Long Jr. and
wife, Cathy of Maryville, Sara Jane McClendon and husband, Mitchell of
Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Tommy Long of Lenoir City, David Long and
wife, Carrie of Greenville, SC, Becky Clevenger and husband, Mark of
