| Scarbrough, Elizabeth Price - age 94 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Sweetwater Hospital. She was retired from Mayfield Dairy and had worked at Charles H. Bacon Co. She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in W. W. II. Elizabeth was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by father, Charles Milford Scarbrough; mother, Sallie Hatfield Scarbrough; brother, James H. Scarbrough and sister, Ruth Scarbrough Bowlin. Survived by sister, Margaret S. | Nelson, Mary Ellen (Peanut) age 77 of 317 Everett Road, Knoxville departed this life early Wednesday morning, June 1, 2005 at Park West Hospital. Mary Ellen was a member of Everett Road Baptist Church, was active in WMU and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of Farragut Women's Club. She was loved by the many children she baby sat for over the years. Normal School in Oneonta, NY. Ruth was an employee of Regal Cinema in
Farragut. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Morson Crosby; parents, Walter and
Vera Tallmadge; sister, Betty Pierce Loucks and husband Clayton Loucks.

86 of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday morning, June 5, 2005. He was born in
Daisy, Tennessee, on October 24, 1918. Reverend Lovelady served as a
minister in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church for
thirty-nine years. During that time he served at ten appointments:
Rockford-Wesleyan 1946-1950; Athens- Allen Memorial 1951-1955; Oneida
1955-1959; Limestone – Asbury 1959-1963; Townsend – Tuckaleechee 1963-1964;
Lupton City – Brooks Memorial 1964-1967; Lenoir City – Trinity 1967-1971;
Independence, VA 1971-1978; Wise, VA – Trinity 1978-1982; and Rock Springs,
TN 1982-1985.Reverend Lovelady was a veteran of World War II serving in the
U.S. Army for 22 months in the European Theater. He was a member of Avery
Masonic Lodge in Lenoir City. He was preceded in death by his father
Joseph Lovelady, his mother Pearl Curtis Lovelady, his brother Jerome, and
his sister Christine. Marshall Lovelady is survived by his wife Faith
Kestner Lovelady, whom he cherished for 59 years; his children and their
spouses – Charles Wayne and Janis Lovelady of Spokane, Washington, Marsha
and Douglas Fain of Knoxville, and Angela and Lawrence Carico of Clinton;
his grandchildren Jason Lovelady and his fiancé Jet, Amanda Lovelady, Amy
Renfro and her husband Chris, Cara Ford and her husband Todd, Kristie Rowan
and her husband Tim, Alicia Fain, Brett Fain, Corey Carico, and Kayla Carico;
his great-grandchildren Macon and Emma Rowan and Riley and Brady Ford; and
his nieces Martha Pearl, Mildred, and Louise. Marshall Lovelady’s love
for God showed in all he did for others. He touched so many people over the
course of his ministry. Marshall Lovelady was truly a man of God. He is
finally where he worked his whole life to be. Receiving of friends
will be Wednesday, June 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M. at Trinity United
Methodist Church in Lenoir City. The funeral will follow the receiving of
friends. Rev. Michael Gregory and Rev. Gary Baker will officiate.

John was preceded in death by his father, Mervin; brother, Robert; and sister, Barbara of Tell City, IN. | Cook, Edward A. - age 81 of Farragut, passed away Friday, June 10, 2005, at the Parkwest Medical Center. He attended First Baptist Church in Concord. He was a veteran of the United States Army 9th Air Force, serving overseas in the European Campaign during World War II. Ed was retired from RCA as a Field Engineer after 38 years of service. Ed was an FCC licensed ham radio operator and past president of the Shiloh Homeowner's Association. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice; infant granddaughter, Sheri; Mother Mabel and Grandmother Fanny. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Linda; daughters, Debra Hirai and Donna Beal; son, Bruce Cook; stepsons, Chad and Darrell Cameron; half sisters, Marjory Berry and Eleanor Hommel; ten grandchildren. the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca

Farragut, TN, formerly of Naperville, IL went to be with Jesus on Tuesday
morning June 14, 2005 at Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. Kim was a very
special young lady who overcame many obstacles, even though she had a
serious handicap of Prader-Willi Syndrome. She had a strong desire to help
others with special needs. Kim wanted to be a Special Education Teacher.
She was a wonderful friend to many and especially Devon Fehse and Ellice
Gregg. Kim graduated from Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL. She
attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She was also in the youth group
at All Saints Catholic Church and the Sonshine Class for special needs
people at First Baptist Church Concord. She also participated at White Wing
Nazarene Church in Lenoir City. Survivors: parents, Raymond and Phyllis Fuja
of Farragut; brothers, Russell of Downers Grove, IL, Jeffrey and Timothy of
Naperville, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive

Thomas Cain, 55, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, after battling Multiple Myeloma. Thomas spent his life devoted to Education, working 34 years in the Pontiac, MI School District and Oakland, MI Schools where he served the last 5 years as Teachers Union President. Prior to that, he spent 29 years teaching Auto Body Repair at Oakland Schools Technical Campus, Northeast Center (formerly known as NEOVEC). Thomas, a graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI went on to receive an Associates Degree from Ferris State College, a Bachelors Degree from Oakland University, and a Masters in Education from Wayne State University. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. Thomas loved to spend time following the Detroit Red Wings as a season ticket holder. He spent his summers sailing the Great Lakes on his beloved boat – the Sea-Sun Ticket III. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Cain. Survivors include his mother, Eva Cain, his brother, Michael Cain and wife Martha, his niece, Karen Cain and nephew Alexander Cain. He was also loved and will be missed by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in Michigan and Tennessee. Mary Moselle, of Knoxville, born
December 23, 1917 and born into eternal life on Monday, June 20, 2005,
surrounded by family and friends. Her journey began in Fancy Farm KY, in
Ballard County, near Paducah KY with her parents, William Joseph and Bridget
Monica Castleman. Her parents and all her brothers have gone before her. She
was married January 9, 1942 to her sweetheart, the late Stanley Filipowicz,
who she met during the war. They lived happily together in Omaha NE and
Toledo OH for over 50 years. All her life she was a homemaker, a wonderful
cook. and the heart of the Filipowicz family. Her children that survive her
are, Julia Ann Kosnikowski and her husband David of Chapel Hill, NC, Joseph
Michael Filipowicz Sr. and his wife Kathryn of Knoxville, TN, Janet Marie
Shelley and her late husband David of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Judy,
Donald, Karen, Amy, Michelle, Pat, Sheila, Hank, Joesph Jr., Donna, Jamie,
Carrie, Chris and David; great grandchildren, Sarah, Jody, Jessica, Katie,
Brandon, Alicia, Abby and Theodore; sister, Mary Tobin of Paducah, KY;
several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.

age 75
of Knoxville, TN passed away Thursday evening, June 23, 2005 at Park West
Medical Center. Richard attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He was
retired from North American Phillips (Magnavox). Richard was a graduate of
Linden High School in New Jersey Class of 1947. He received a degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1954. In 1954 he
was commissioned as an officer in the U S Air Force. He served two years
active duty as a radar maintenance officer and twenty years of service in
the reserves as a Liasion Officer for the United States Air Force Academy,
retiring as a Major. Richard was an avid golfer. He volunteered for the FISH
Pantry delivering bakery items. He loved trains, military aircraft and
antique cars. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna
Remeta and granddaughter, Meghann Bramlett. Survivors: wife of 50 years,
Clarabelle Hart Remeta; daughters,Victorine Bramlett and husband Rex of
Karnack, TX, Patricia Siler of Santa Fe, NM, Diane Riley of Palm Beach
Gardens, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Jr. and Ashley Remeta of
Knoxville; grandchildren, Amanda Bramlett, Matthew Siler, Katie and Emily
Riley, Andy and Lindsay Remeta; great granddaughter, Tori Bramlett; sisters,
Barbara Krieck of NJ, Judy Sierra and husband Angel of FL; several nieces
and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at

| Claudino, Irene Rose - age 99 of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, passed away Saturday evening, June 25, 2005. Irene was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City. She was an avid seamstress and loved needle work. Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born in Telluride, Colorado in 1905. Preceded in death by her husband, John Claudino, who died in 1960. Survivors include her son, John Claudino of Los Angeles, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Jim Polhamus of Tellico Village; grandchildren: Mary Conroy and husband, Dennis, Jean Kihn and husband, Jeff, Jim Polhamus IV and wife, Mary Louise, John Polhamus and wife, Michelle, Susan and Christopher Claudino; 16 great grandchildren; nephew, Hal Baerg and wife, Pauline.
