Easter, Arminda J. (June) - age 64 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, March 1, 2004 at her home.  She attended the Bell Avenue Baptist Church. Murphy, Judith "Judy" Lynn, age 53, of the Hardin Valley Community in Knox County, TN, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2004 at Parkwest Hospital while she was surrounded by her family. She battled a terminal illness for over 25 years, yet, despite the pain and inconvenience it caused, she always maintained a positive attitude and love for life, Jesus and her family to the very end. She also never allowed her condition to interfere with taking care of her family, or even strangers. She was truly a model of love, faith and hope. Judy was born in Ashland, Kentucky on October 26, 1950. On September 18, 1971 she married her best friend and the love of her life, Bill Murphy, Jr. In 1973 and 1975, she gave birth to her two sons, Jason and Josh, respectfully. When her sons married in 1999 and 2000, she acquired the two daughters, Amy and Missy, which she always wanted. Finally, on November 1, 2002, she obtained her most favorite title, grandmother, when Parker Matthew Murphy was born. Second only to her love of Jesus and her family, Judy loved the symphony. She also loved UT athletics and attended various sporting events whenever she was able. She was an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, WIC, and various other organizations.  Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Bill Murphy, Jr.; her children, Jason Murphy and wife, Missy and Joshua Murphy and wife, Amy; her grandson, Parker Matthew Murphy; her parents, Tom and Pauline Hunt; her parents-in-law, Bill Murphy, Sr. and Diane Murphy; her sisters, Terri Payne and husband (Ham), Jeannie Hunt; her brother-in-law, Don Murphy; her niece, Angela Harrison; her nephew, E. J. Harrison; and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Dr. Robert Montgomery, Dr. Caroline Cooley and Dr. Albert Ebenezer for their years of treatment, dedication and friendship. Young, Tammy Sue Smith - age 45 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004. She was a beloved mother, daughter and sister. Preceded in death by her father, R.L. Smith; infant brother, Jeffery Mark Smith and her grandparents, Carl and Grace Smith, Hattie Duggan and Jess Edwards. Tinnel, Kenneth Howard - age 76 of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004, at his home.  He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.  Howard was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy and Army.  He was a member of the Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM and was retired from United Engineering.  Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Lou Tinnel; brothers, Harry Tinnel, Allen Tinnel and an infant brother; special aunt, Agnes (Gussie) Henson.  Survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Martin Tinnel; children, Joel Tinnel and wife, Laura of Manassas, VA and Mary Jane Carmichael and husband, Ken of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Kirk and Alex Tinnel, Aiden and Aaron Carmichael; brothers, Ivan Tinnel and wife, Barabara , Bob Tinnel and wife, Violet, Johnny Tinnel and wife, Pat; several nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Highland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Brown, Bert Elmer - age 98 of the Poplar Springs Community, Kingston passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the Rockwood Health Care Center.  He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.  Bert was born on a farm in Green Co. Tn. on May 22, 1905 into the family of William and Ella Brown.  He was the next to the youngest of 13 children.  Bert married James Stella "Maude" Moore on July 4, 1928.  Maude passed away November 1984.  They were married 56 years.  The union of these two wonderful people produced a total of 175 living offspring.  He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; children, Clifford Elmer Brown, Mary Ade Brown, James Alvin Brown and Roy Lee Brown; 6 grandchildren, Robert Brown, Gary Lane, James Lee, Lois Marie Rasar, Bradley Packett and Clyde Brown; 12 brothers and sisters.  Survived by children, Gladys Morelock of Ohio, Dorothy Lee of Rockwood, Louise Martin and Betty Richards both of Kingston, Paul Brown of Midtown, Bobby Brown of Michigan, George Brown of North Carolina, Leonard Brown and Richard Brown both of Kingston and Raymond Brown of Georgia; 44 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 61 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Holliday, Jean Gail Southern - Lenoir City passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 at the St. Mary's Residential Hospice.  Born July 28, 1935, born again 1945 Oak Grove Baptist Church, returned to the father on March 5, 2004.  Jean was born during hard times and weathered hard times with grace all her life.  She was a student at Mabscott Elementary, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1955, and attended the University of Tennessee until she began working full-time which she continued until her diagnosis.  She loved people, and enjoyed working.  She was a member of The International Operating Engineers Local Union #917 where she was employed for many years.  The family would like to thank the staff of Saint Mary's Residential Hospice, Dr. Antonucci and Dr. Rice, and their staff.  We would also like to thank The Brain Tumor Center at Duke with Dr. V. and Dr. Freidman, and all their kind staff.  A special thank you to all those who sent flowers during her illness.  She is survived by her husband, John Holliday;  son-in-law and daughter, Tony and Jalana Cooper; grandchildren, Abigail and Peter; father, Ben Malcolm; cousins, Judith Todd.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  Funeral services will be held 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brown, Woodrow W. age 90 of Hardin Valley Community, Knoxville went to be with the Lord late Saturday evening, March 6, 2004 at Park West Hospital. Woodrow was a long time member of Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a dairy and beef farmer, and was an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Gambill, Doris Lents (Mrs. Jesse) of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. William S. Lents of Knoxville.  She was a member of the Dixie Lee Baptist Church and a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gambill.  She is survived by her brother, James M. Robinson, Elden V. (Lum) - age 79 of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004 at his home.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City for 56 years where he was Director of Sunday School, Member of the Choir and taught Sunday School for over 30 years.  Lum served in the U. S. Navy and served three years on the USS Robinson during World War II.  He was a member of IBEW Local #760 for 52 years, the Vow Boys and American Legion Post #70.  Lum was retired from Lenoir City Utilities Board with 30 years service where he was Superintendent of Operations.  Preceded in death by parents, Jackson C. and Cora Hines Robinson; son, Jack Robinson.  Survived by his wife of 57 years, Foystein (Fotchie) Robinson; daughters, Phoebe Masters, Kristi Quillen and husband, Gene; sons, John B. Robinson, Mark E. Lee, Roy William - age 76 of Champaign, ILL., passed away Friday morning at the Manor Care of Urbana in Urbana, ILL. Roy was born July 1, 1927 in Lenoir City and was the son of William and Ida Mae Kilby Lee. He retired from the Lenoir Car Works, was a member of Local 703 in Champaign were he retired in 1989, was also a member of Aerie No. 3075 Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katie Williams Bole; sister, Mamie Sue Ralston and brother, Arthur Lee. White, Helen Elizabeth - age 89 of the Oral Community in Loudon County, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2004. Helen was the oldest living member of Oral Baptist Church where she had been an active and faithful member for nearly 70 years. She served as the church financial secretary for many years and was very supportive of the church children and youth groups hosting many hayrides, socials and Christmas programs. Helen loved to write poetry and also taught quilting in her home. She was a longtime volunteer at Baptist Health Care Center and a tireless community worker. Williams, Curtis A., Sr. age 77 of Lenoir City, passed away at his home on Monday, March 15, 2004. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and joined the Navy to serve his country during World War II. He was employed at Charles H. Bacon Company and was the assistant plant manager before retiring after 36 years. He graduated from Lenoir City High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He was a member of the Loudon County Quarterly Court where he served as Chairman of the Loudon County Hospital Board and various other committees. He served as a member of the Loudon County Election Commission. He was a member of the jury selection committee and the Loudon County Grand Jury Foreman. He served on the Lenoir City Housing Authority from 1959 until being elected to the Lenoir City Council in 1997. He was elected as the Vice-Mayor twice during his two terms of office. He served as the Lenoir City Fire Commissioner and on the Lenoir City Utilities Board. He was a member of the VFW and served as the Commander and as a Tennessee 2nd District Commander. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Lenoir City Disabled Veterans. He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Moats Williams Gardner, father, Haskel Williams, and Sister, Ruth Gardner Brashears, an infant brother, Edgar and great grandson, Jace Rule Jackson. He is survived my his beloved wife of 57 years, Tiajaunia (Ty) Plemons Williams, daughters and son-in-laws, Bernita and Charles Gamble, Debbie and Ray Cook, and son, Curtis A. Denton, Jack Starr - age 78 of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Parkwest Hospital after complications from Alzheimer's disease. Jack was born April 21, 1925 in the Martel Community. He was married to Agnes Davis Denton for over 58 years, and was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great - grandfather.  Jack was an active member of Central United Methodist Church for over sixty years. He was a W. W. II veteran of the U. S. Army serving with the 100th Division and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  Jack graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1950 and was a dedicated Volunteer for life.  He was an employee of the Federal Government for 41 years with TVA, AEC, ERDA and DOE where he retired as Director of Safeguards and Security for DOE facilities in seven states and Puerto Rico.  A longtime Rotarian, Jack was a Past President of Lenoir City Rotary Club.  He was Chairman of the Civil Service Board for Lenoir City and a long term member of the Loudon Co. Sexton, James Earl - age 77 of Morristown, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2004, at his home.  He was born June 20, 1926 in Loudon County, Tennessee. He gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He retired from Roadway Express in 1980 after 29 years of over the road driving. He was a member of Glades Lebanon Baptist Church in Gatlinburg and had been attending the Open Door Baptist Church in Morristown since 1989.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlen H. Kimmons, George Harvey, age 85, of Farragut passed away March 23, 2004.  He was retired as manager of  the Office of Engineering, Design and Construction at TVA, where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the Permanent International Association of Navigation Congress (PIANK), and inducted into the University of Mississippi Alumni Hall of Fame. George was a veteran of World War II serving with the Naval Air Corp in the Pacific. He played middle infield for the University of Mississippi baseball team. George was a member of Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors: wife of 56 years, Margaret Kimmons; son and daughter-in-law, George H. Kimmons Jr. (Kim) and Cheryl Ann (Cherie) of Farragut; grandchildren, Emily and Patrick; sister, Mrs. J. R. Patterson of Oxford, MS; two nephews, George Garland (Pat) Patterson and James R. Wegienek, Donald A. - age 73 of Tellico Village Community in Loudon, formerly of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2004.  He was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church and a former member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.  Donald retired from Ford Motor Company.  He was a volunteer with the SCORE Program and various community organizations in Tellico Village and Plymouth.  A graduate of St. Mary's of Orchard Lake, Michigan and University of Detroit Mercy.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ethel Bryzek Wegienek; children, Karen (Dr. Bruce Dubin), Stephen (Nancy, nee Teegarden), Michelle (Dr. Donald Zelazny); grandchildren, Scott, Wegienek, Dennis Wegienek and Andrew Zelazny.  A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City with Father David Boettner officiating.  A reception will follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: St. Mary's School , 3535 Indian Trail, Orchard Lake, Michigan, 48324 and designate to the Donald Wegienek Memorial Fund or The St. Thomas the Apostle Church Building Fund, 1580 St. Thomas Way, Lenoir City, TN, 37772. Tudor, John Julian, age 84, of Farragut, Tennessee passed away on March 21, 2004.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Palm Bay, Florida and a past member of Central Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  He retired in 1981 after 32 years from Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, where he received many awards and was credited with several patents in engineering design.  He was a flight instructor for the Army Air Corps during World War II and continued serving in the Civil Air Patrol.  He was a lifetime member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and authored many arcticles in various model aircraft magazines.  He was a charter member of the Knoxville Chapter of the United Ostomy Association.  He played clarinet in orchestras at both churches in Oak Ridge and Melbourne.  He enjoyed drawing and painting.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert G. and Helen Crane Tudor; brothers; Philip C., Charles C. and James R. Tudor; sister; Mary Stewart.  Survivors include sons Sky Tudor, Anchorage, Alaska, John Tudor, Jr., Broomall, Pennsylvania and daughters Sarah Watkins, Lancaster, Kentucky, Julia Rodgers, Sandy Valley, Nevada, Tanya Guidry, Las Vegas, Nevada and Traci Harvey, Lenoir City, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren, five great grand children, brother William P. Ruggles, Elaine M. age 66 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Chicago, Il, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at NHC Farragut. Elaine was retired from National Health Care as a Regional Nurse after12 years of service and a life devoted to nursing. She was a devoted mentor to many of her NHC family members.  Elaine was an avid of supporter of East Tennessee Children's Hospital through her donations of hand crocheted newborn outfits. She was preceded in death by father. Survivors: mother, Edla Ruggles; brother, Clair Ruggles  both of Chicago, IL; several aunts and cousins. Ray, Robert Bruce (Bob) age 80 of Knoxville passed away suddenly Monday,  March 22, 2004 at his home. Bob  was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Long, Donald L. age 59 of Knoxville, Tennessee  passed away March 23, 2004, following a short but courageous battle with cancer. He retired in 2002 as the Plant Manager of Boeing Oak Ridge after a 36 year career with the company. Prior to that he was with the Boeing Company in Seattle as the Director of Operations and Director of Manufacturing for the 767/747 divisions at the Everett Plant. He was raised on a farm in Lamar, CO and never forgot his connection to the earth and to the values of being raised in that environment. Don was an outgoing individual who was generous with his friendship in his professional as well as his personal life. He faced challenges directly and decisively however difficult the situation. He had unconditional love for his family and friends. After retirement his major interest was riding his Harley-Davidson, his dream machine, and he was able to have some memorable rides with close friends and biking buddies. Don was never afraid to do the things that he loved and pursue his dreams. And most of them came true!! He loved to laugh and share good times. He will be missed by those who were lucky enough to have called him husband, brother, uncle and friend. Don was preceded in death by his daughter and only child, Lisa; his parents, Herbert and Stella Long; parents-in-law, Tom and Joyce Brantley. Girolami, Dr. Roland L. - age 79 of the Tellico Village Community Loudon, passed away Thursday March 25, 2004 at his home following a massive coronary failure.  His widow, Nina, was with him at his time of death. They had been married for 54 years.   Dr. Girolami was born in Milwaukee and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in W. W. II in the South Pacific war theatre.  Dr. Girolami was a retired microbiologist for 33 years with Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Ill. and he and his wife had lived most of that time in the Chicago surburb of Libertyville, Ill.  He received BS, MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.  Following his graduation he was employed for about a year at Oak Ridge National Laboratories.  Dr. Girolami was a 50 year member of the American Society of Microbiology.  Following his retirement, he was an early member of the Tellico Village Woodworkers Club and had built Christmas toys for the Loudon County children for the past 5 years. In addition to his interest in boating, Dr. Girolami was an avid golfer. Survivors besides his wife include 2 brothers, Quin and his wife Doris of Naples, Fla. and Victor and his wife Gail of Northfield, Mi. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 29, 2004 at St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church with Father David Boettner officiating. Collins, Rev. Carness Reed - age 71 of Loudon passed away Friday March 26, 2004 at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. Reed was pastor for the past 10 years of Forgiveness Baptist Church in Lenoir City and had pastored in Michigan for 29 years. He was preceded in death by his father.  Survived by his wife of 11 years, Aileen McCollister Collins; 2 sons, Chris and Reed Collins of Florida; 2 daughters, Laura of Atlanta and Diane of Michigan; step-son, Arnold Brookshire and wife Denise of Lenoir City; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Mother and step-father, Reba and Roy Armentrout; 2 sisters, Ora Casteel of Greeneville and Joyce Philpott of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Weigel, Patricia Lynn Baker (Pat) age 49 of Knoxville went peacefully asleep to be in the arms of Jesus early Wednesday morning, March 31 at her home.  Pat was a member of Vision Outreach Ministries in Powell.  She was a former nurse's assistant at Baptist Hospital.  Pat  was preceded in death by her father, Carson Ray Baker and her grandparents. Survivors: husband, Doug Weigel; children, Brian Mitchell and wife Michelle; son, Eric Steven Miller; daughters, Kristen Nicole Anderson, Renae Mitchell; mother, Jean Clemons; sister, Deborah Hill; special aunt, Shelba Long; all of Knoxville; several other aunts and uncles.
