Nalls, Clarence Milton, Sr. -
age 76 of Loudon, TN, formerly of Front Royal, VA, passed away Tuesday
evening, November 2, 2004. He was of the Assembly of God faith and retired
from the Virginia Highway Department. A veteran of the Korean Conflict
serving in the United States Army. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley
Nalls; son, James (Cracker Jack) Nalls; parents, James Elmer and Ellie
Nalls; infant sister, Louise and sister, Ruth Anderson. Survived by sons,
Michael Nalls (Karen) of Philadelphia, TN and Clarence Nalls, Jr. of
Virginia; daughter, Marie Nalls Hawkins (Jamie) of Lenoir City, TN;
grandchildren: Justin Gilman, Shayne and Jason Hawkins; sisters, Irene
Lunceford (Mason) and Josephine Carter both of Virginia; several nieces

| Watson, Samuel Joshua age 20 of Knoxville passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Sam was a graduate of Christian Academy of Knoxville. He was a car enthusiast and loved NASCAR. Sam was a member of Boy Scouts Troop 45, chartered at CAK. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pawlak, Mrs. Adelaide White and Mr. Harold R. White. Survivors: mother, Janice A. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell and was presently attending Greenway Baptist Church of Knoxville. Iva was retired manager of Powell Elementary Cafeteria. Preceded in death by parents, James Allison Arden and Mattie Lee Arden. | Huking, Harry W. Jr. - age 77 of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, passed away Friday evening, November 5, 2004, at his home following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Harry was born September 25, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Palo Alto High School and San Jose State College in California. A veteran of the United States Army serving from 1946-48 in Japan, 1949-50 in Georgia and 1951-53 during the Korean Conflict. He served in marketing with Dow Chemical from 1953-1984 working in Michigan, New Jersey, Spain and Switzerland. Harry retired and moved to Tellico Village in 1992 and became a member of the Tellico Village Community Church and President of the Genealogy Club. Preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Harry W. Huking Sr.; brother, Leonard Huking. Survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Joan Huking; sons, Ronald Huking of Tucson, AR, Keith (Patty) Huking of Ft. | Williams, Charles Lloyd - age 77 of Loudon, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 5:20 p.m. at U. T. Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1927. He served in the U. S. | Kalthoff, Charles W. age 86 of Farragut passed away early Wednesday morning, November 10, 2004 at his home. Charles was a member of West Hills Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII serving as a combat engineer in the U.S. Army and a 32 degree Mason. Charles was the owner and founder of Kalthoff, Inc. Mechanical Contracting Company and the recipient of several patents. He sold the business after 40 years of operation. He enjoyed boating and traveling. Charles was a member and past president of the City Wide Sertoma Club, a member of the board of directors for James White Fort, and currently president of the Fox Den Homeowner=s Association. He volunteered at Baptist Sr. Health Center, and delivered food for the FISH organization. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Blanche Kalthoff. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Wanda Kalthoff, sons and daughters in law, Tim and LaRue Kalthoff of Knoxville, Jeff and Christy Kalthoff of New Market; grandchildren Matthew, Jeffrey, and Judson Kalthoff all of Knoxville, Shannon Carver and husband Clay of Oak Ridge; great granddaughter, Camilla; sister-in-law, Katherine Bell of Farragut, and several nieces and nephews. | McCown, John, W. - age 72 of Stow, Ohio passed away November 8, 2004. John was born in Lenoir City, Tn. and was a resident of the Stow, Ohio area for most of his life. He had been employed by the Canal Fulton Police Dept. for 15 years and was also a former truck driver. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and loved western movies, traveling, old cars and enjoyed life. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Hutsell McCown. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Betty; son, Keith McCown and wife Gail of Akron, Oh.; grandchildren, Eric, Kurt and Alicia; sisters, Joyce Odom and husband Randall and Bobbie Jo McCown all of San Antonio, Texas, Florence Rabar of Gulf Port, Miss. of Farragut, formerly of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away Saturday, November
13, 2004 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Catherine was of the Catholic
faith and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Garden City
Beach, SC. She grew up in Manhattan in New York City and had a long career
at the Cornell Medical College in Manhattan. On retirement, Mr. and Mrs.
Murphy moved to South Carolina, last living in Surfside Beach. Catherine was
preceded in death by her husband, James F. Murphy; son, Michael Murphy;
parents, Edward and Anna Martin; sister, Margaret Fitzgerald. She is
survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Murphy O'Brien and Patrick
O'Brien of Farragut; grandchildren, Theresa Murphy of New Jersey, Kathleen,
Michael, Meghan and Colleen O'Brien all of Farragut; daughter-in-law, Denise
Murphy of New Jersey; nephews, Dennis and Kevin Fitzgerald, niece, Patricia

She was a graduate of the class of "53" from Jonesboro High and lived in Johnson City until the late 1960's where upon she moved to Knoxville. Her career was raising her two daughters and making a home where family and friends were always comfortable and welcome. Although incapacitated from a stroke for 18 years, she continued to be a source of comfort and inspiration to her children and grandchildren. Baptist Health Care Center after a long illness. She was an Aurora, IL native and had lived in Longwood, Fla from 1978 - 1998 before moving to Johnson City, Tennessee and then Knoxville, Tennessee. Mrs. Ziegle was the daughter of the late John B. O'Connor and Caroline Meyer O'Connor. She received her degree from St. Mary's at Notre Dame and taught in both the public and parochial schools for over 30 years. She was most recently a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Lenoir City. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Lassen of Marietta, Georgia and Laurie Hollis of Knoxville; sons-in-law Charles Lassen and Al Hollis; one grandson, Eric Lassen of Hummelstown, PA; one granddaughter, Christa Lassen-Vogel of Lafayette, CO; her husband Ken Vogel; and one great-grandson, Nolan Vogel. Lee Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. (Ret.) age 82 of
Farragut, TN, formerly of Fresno,CA and Port Ludlow, WA, went to be with the
Lord Monday afternoon, November 22, 2004. Max was a member of Cedar Springs
Presbyterian Church. He retired from the U S Air Force on June 30 1962 with
20 years of service as a bomber pilot in the Strategic Air Command (SAC).
Max was an aircraft commander on a B-47 six jet bomber. After his military
career, he was stock broker with E F Hutton in Fresno for 12 years. He was
an avid reader, writer, golfer, tennis player, coin collector and hiker. Max
was very active teaching Bible Study Fellowship and Sunday School classes at
various churches he attended over the years. He also served as deacon and
head usher at Evangelical Free Church and First Baptist Church both in
Fresno. Max was loved for his humor, intelligence and outgoing nature,
making friends where ever he lived. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years,
Alicia Smith Wotring and children and spouses, Sharon and Dick Hammat of
Knoxville, TN, Wesley and Katherine Wotring of Potlatch, ID, Deborah Smith-Wotring
and Geoffrey Klopper of Carmel, CA, Lisa Ann and Skip Landon of Grass
Valley, CA, Cindy and Roger Simpson of Fresno, CA; 11 grandchildren; 1 great

Virgil was a veteran of World War II serving in the U S Army Cavalry at Ft. Riley Kansas. Virgil is remembered as a loving and caring husband and father, and well respected business man in the Knoxville area since 1957. He was founder and owner of Rio Grande, owner of Ace Fence Companies, Winfreds Apparel and Ace Petroleum Company. Virgil was an avid golfer and a member of Fox Den Country Club. | Bluford, Henry (Hoyle), Sr. - age 69 of Lenoir City passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 at his home. Henry was of the Baptist Faith. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Truck Driver (CB handle was slingshot) from 1962-1999 driving from many different trucking companies. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ben and Stella Vineyard Bluford; sister-in-law, Lucille Seals; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clifford and Betty Lennox Davis; son-in-law, Gary Dewayne Wilson (July 18, 2004). He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary L. Davis Bluford; 3 children, Carol Robinette, Tammy Wilson and Henry H. | Wells, Dora Rose Davis - age 91 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 at Baptist West Hospital. She was born October 22, 1913 in the Laurel Bluff Community in Roane County. Dora accepted Jesus as her Savior early in life and was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God, Lenoir City. She is preceded in death by parents, Jim and Nora Moore Davis; infant daughter, Faye; sons, Dana (Jack), Joe and Bob; brothers, Robert, Arvis and Clyde Davis; sisters, Molly Brummitt and Maude Brewster. She is survived by daughter, Zelma Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mae Agee Wells, Kenneth and Joyce Hall Wells; sister, Sue Harvey all of Lenoir City; brother, James Davis of Aberdeen, MD; daughters-in-law, Verda Moore Wells of Asheville, NC and Peggy Glass Wells of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. | Zabelka, Betty Elizabeth Martin - age 70 of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2004 at Loudon Health Care Center. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Preceded in death by parents, Mitchell and Katie Martin; brother, Walter Martin; sister, Hazel Martin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Victor and Christine Zabelka. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Victor M. Zabelka Jr.; children, Victor Zabelka of Marengo, Ill and Debra Wakid of Danvers, Ill.; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Woody Martin of Lenoir City and Ronny Martin of Loudon; sister, Lois Edmonds of Chapin, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Jean Wood
Stevens, 88, of Chattanooga, entered
her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 24, 2004. Widow of the late
Reverend W. Earle Stevens, Jr., she was the daughter of the late Capt.
Burris D. Wood and Mrs. Marguerite Cope Wood. Her surviving family members
include her three children and their families: Mrs. Stephen Cook of
Knoxville, Mrs. Des Harper of Halesowen, England, and Dr. David Earle
Stevens of Portland, Oregon; seven living grandchildren and two deceased,
Emily Cook and Jonathan Stevens; sister-in-law, Ethel Wood, and cousin,
Marilyn Cope, both of Dallas Texas; several surviving nieces and nephews
and grand-nieces and nephews. Jean was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
She attended Judson College in Alabama, The University of California at Los
Angeles, and The University of Texas at Austin, where she received her
Master's degree in English Literature. For several years, she taught high
school English and French, and was a school librarian. During her years as a
pastor's wife, she served as a children's Sunday School teacher, and as a
ladies' adult Bible study teacher. Grateful thanks is extended to Baptist
Health Care Center, Lenoir City, for their excellent and loving care of Mrs.
Stevens during the last several months of her life. Funeral arrangements are
by Click Funeral Home, Farragut Chapel. Services will be held in
Chattanooga on Tuesday, December 7, in the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton
Memorial Gardens , Hwy 153 North, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may
gather for visitation at 10:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00
a.m., and burial at 12:00 noon. Dr. David E. Stevens of Portland, Oregon
