Mabel Louise Hyatt, age 87, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006, Vandalia, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Refiney Hyatt, along with her four sisters and five brothers. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Frances Miller Loy, age 83 of Knoxville went to be with the her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 2, 2006. She was born on September 7, 1923 to the late Howard and Addie Miller. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lela Hunt and Bernice Van Dyke; brother, Jimmy Clevenger and step son, Donald T. Loy. Mrs. Loy is survived by her son, Ron Clark and wife Vicki of Titusville, FL; daughter, Claudia Ragsdale and husband Mike of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ronda Sapashe and husband Craig of Orlanda, FL, Steven Clark and wife Rene of Winchester, Shelley Nettles and husband Michael of Titusville, Fl and David Ragsdale of New York City; additionally she leaves five great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She worked in Oak Ridge during the World War II as a part of the Manhattan Project development and retired after 20 years of service at Cherokee County Club. Special appreciation is extended to the staff of Heritage Assisted Living, Park West Medical Center, and St Mary's Hospice for their kindness and compassion. | Montgomery Sr. John L., M.D. F.A.C.S. born November 12, 1906 and died November 3, 2006 at his home in the Virtue Community of West Knox County. Mara Owens Georges, of Farragut passed away Saturday morning, November 4, 2006 at her home. Mara was born in Alamo Georgia and attended the University of Georgia. She was selected as a member of the first class for women training in Atlanta during WWII with the FAA as Aircraft Communicators and Weather Observers. Mara was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church and Circle 12 United Methodist Women. She was an avid gardener, member for many years of Dixie Highway Garden Club, and received many awards for her flower arranging. Mara was also a member of Fox Den Women's Club and three separate bridge clubs. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mara was preceded in death by her daughter, Mara Dee Georges Allen; parents, William Parks Owens and Cornelia Harrelson Owens; brothers, Olin Eugene Owens and William Parks Owens Jr. Survivors: husband of 54 years, Christopher Georges; daughter, Joy Georges McCabe and husband Patrick; grandson, Christopher Robert McCabe all of Farragut; sister-in-law, Bessie Owens of Alamo, GA; niece, Donna Owens Hodges of Winder, GA; nephew, William Parks Owens III of Alamo, GA. She was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God for 63 years and active with the Church Ladies Ministry. Glenn and her husband owned and operated Little M Market #2. She was preceded in death, by her husband, Carl Moats; sons, Hoyt W. Moats, and David Moats; sister, Merle Lethgo. | Parsons, William Henry age 81 of Farragut, TN, formerly of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully at home November 5, 2006. Henry was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He served in World War II with the U S Marines in the Philippines. Henry graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma University in Alva, OK in 1951. He served as the District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America in Tulsa. Henry retired from Acacia Mutual Insurance Company. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Farragut to be close to their son. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Neal and Dale Parsons. Lorena Toynette (Toni) Weaver Buescher, age 78 of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006. A loving wife and mother, Toni was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City. She was a former member of Home Demonstration Club, the Catholic Womens Club and a volunteer with the Girl Scouts and various hospitals. Toni enjoyed exercising with her friends at First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Vivian Lorena Weaver and her grandparents, John Stone (Pappy) and Annie Lorena (Mimi) Jackson. Survived by her husband, of 57 years, Francis A. Richard Franklin Harris, age 69 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at his home. He retired from the Department of Agriculture, after his retirement he worked part time at Cedar Hills Golf Course where he was an avid golfer. Richard had made 14 holes in one during his golfing career. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mildred Harris; brother, James A. Harris. | Wallace Neal Dudney,age 82 of Knoxville, formerly of Morristown, passed away Saturday morning, November 11, 2006 at his home, Shannondale Health Care Center. Wally was born in Watertown, TN to Charles and Annie Dudney. He was the grandson of William Haskell Neal, first inductee to the Tennessee Agricultural Hall of Fame and inventor of Neal's Paymaster Corn. Wally served in the U S Army in World War II and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1948. He worked in journalism and public relations for the University of Tennessee, Kraft Foods, and the Foreign Agricultural Service of the U S Department of Agriculture. Wally was married for 42 years to Dorothy Jean Bengey Dudney before her death in 1990. Survivors: children, Charles Dudney and wife Nancy of Farragut, Jerry Dudney and wife Ellen of Springfield, OH, Janice McCann and husband John of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Kevin, Carol, Laura and Allison. Marvin Donald Reed Sr., age 72 of Loudon, formerly of Knoxville, passed away Friday evening, November 10, 2006 at Park West Hospital. Marvin was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church but had recently attended Stockton Valley Baptist Church. He was a member of the Atomic Beagle Club and was very active in beagle field trials. Marvin was a member of Cherokee Masonic Lodge # 728 F&AM and Bearden Eastern Star. He was retired from the trucking industry. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mildred Reed. Survivors: wife of 50 years, Dorothy L. Febry Ellen Hines Johnston, age 98 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her home. Febry was born March 08, 1909 in Alabama. She worked as a young girl at the Bacon Hosiery Mill, and in later years was a wonderful grandmother, who not only cared for them, but cared for several who needed nursing care in their homes. Febry attended Calvary Baptist Women's Sunday School Class for many years and First Church of God on Finley Drive until she declined in health. She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Amanda Hines Bray, stepmother, Ola Lewis Bray; siblings, Addie, Lela, Jack and Lewis; her husband of 58 years, Ernest M. John Daniel (Dan) Ellis, age 79 of Lenoir City, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2006 at U. T. Medical Center. Dan was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired owner of Ellis Construction Company. He was one of the four original founders of Loudon County Rescue Squad in 1958, where he was former Captain and the present Unit Director. Dan was a member of the Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM, a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason, the Kerbela Shrine Temple. He was the Commissioner of Martel Utility District for 23 years and a volunteer for Feed My Children with Martel Methodist Church. Dan was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ellis Cunningham; parents, Robert W. and Nora Ellis; sisters, Thelma Hill and Sharon Ellis. Glenn Melcoy Way, born August 16, 1919 to Clarence Cylvester and Mary Vivian Chappell Way (later Kirkley) left this life, Friday, November 24, 2006. Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He achieved the Scottish Rite 32 degree, KCCH 2nd York Rite Commandeer degree as a Commander of Knights, Templar of the Knight Crusaders of the Cross as a Life Member, Past Commander of Chevalier Commanders No. 21 and a Life Sponsor of the Knight Templar Eye Foundation. Glenn was Past Master of Kerbela Shrine Temple, Past Master of Avery Lodge No. 593, honorary member of Tennessee Lodge No. 204, George Washington Lodge No. 181, Greenback Lodge No. 691 and numerous others. He was a fifty year member of Avery Masonic Lodge No. 593 F & AM and Loudon Chapter No. 138 Royal Arch Mason. Glenn was appointed Grand Representative of Mississippi Royal Arch Mason. He was also a former member of the International Association of Lions Clubs and was presented the 100 % President Award in 1996 for his outstanding work. He was cited by Tennessee Governor Ned McWherter for contributions to the 1996 Tennessee statehood bicentennial celebration. Glenn was the recipient of numerous other civic awards for his work. He was retired from ORNL. | Fisher, Mary Lynn age 100 of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2006. She attended Maryville College. Mary Lynn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Charles H. Bacon Co. and retired from the Atomic Energy Commission. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Fisher; parents Thomas Nelson and Mattie S. Griffitts. Survived by her nephew, James Allen Wilkerson of Rock Hill, SC; great nephews, James Harrison Hines and Walter Parker Hines of Lenoir City; great nieces, Emily Kathleen Chellew of St. Louis, MO and Cynthia Ellen Hines of Chicago, IL. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Alfons Eisele, age 91 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Alfons was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1950. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Eisele. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Eisele of Knoxville; grandson, Steven Holley and wife Trish of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Livingston and Kennedy Holley. Dhruvaswamini L. (Dhruva) Desai, age 60 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Chotaudapur, India, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Dhruva was retired from Park West Hospital as a respiratory therapist. She was a kind, religious and spiritual person. Dhruva was always ready to help others at any time. She was a very loving person who was devoted to her family and will be missed by many. God bless her soul. Dhruva was a member of the Hindu Community Center. Survivors: husband of 34 years, Lalit Desai; son and daughter-in-law, Milind and Lina Desai; daughter, Jignyasa Desai all of Knoxville; granddaughter, Raina; mother, Shantaben Patel of York, PA; brother, Gautam Patel of Washington, DC; sister, Susmita Amin of York, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Garlie Gilbert (G.G.) Weatherly; son, Ronald G. Weatherly; parents, Ira and Amanda Speers; brothers, Fred Speers, Harold Speers and Kenneth Speers.
