| Cassidy, Eugene Edward (Gene) age 79 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon TN, passed away Saturday Oct. 2, 2004. Mr. Cassidy was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City, TN. He was a retired pharmacist having recieved his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University. He spent most of his career with Eli Lilly & Co and also worked at Emmert Drug in Freeport, Ill. and most recently with WalMart Pharmacy in Lenior City. Gene was very active in several clubs and societies including Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Alpha Tau Omega Social Society, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Purdue Alumni Associatoin, St. Patrick Church Lake Forest Ill. Parish Council and Arboretum Golf course staff in Buffalo Grove, Ill. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Preceded in death by his parents John and Katherine Cassidy; he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Linck (Terry) Cassidy: children: Patrick Cassidy of Oakbrook, Ill., Colleen Cassidy (Mark) of Los Angeles,Calif. Karen Cassidy Gardner (Gary) Glenview, Ill. Lenoir City, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend,
passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at Parkwest Hospital. Jack
was retired from Tennessee Carolina Transportation with 30 years service and
from the State of Tennessee. He was a member of the York Rite, Kerbela
Temple and Past Master of Avery Lodge #593 and had served as a District
Chairman. Jack was a member and past deacon of First Baptist Church of
Lenoir City. Preceded in death by parents, George R. Hardin and Golda
Hardin Hoskins Stafford. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly Schultz
Hardin; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Judy Hardin, Wesley and Lesley
Hardin; grandson, Tanner Hardin; granddaughter, Rachel Pitts; sisters and

| Atchley, Howard Leon (Colonel) - age 55 of Lenoir City passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Knoxville. A veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army where he was a sharpshooter and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Howard worked with Ready Mix Concrete with 18 years service and Adams Concrete with 5 years service. He was a member of Disabled Veterans and was an avid Nascar and wrestling fan. He was preceded in death by parents, H. L. and Suda Atchley; step-father, Johnny Nicholson. Lucy retired from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Malone; son, Billy Malone; parents; brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Anne E. Malone; nieces and nephews, Elzora Cantrell and husband, Ray with whom she made her home, Anna Carzelle Armes, Ida Brewer, Harold Liles, Glenn (Corky) Liles, Alicia Trego and Lynn Liles; many other great and great great nieces and nephews. | Parker, George D. - age 71 of Farragut, passed away suddenly Thursday, October 7, 2004. He was an active member and elder of Concord Presbyterian Church. Retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems with 38 years service. George served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Edith Parker and his brother, James N. Parker. age 81of Lenoir City, departed this life Friday evening, October 8, 2004 to
be with his Heavenly Father. He was born on February 26, 1923 to the late
George Elmer and Zona Monger. He was a member of the Lenoir City Church of
Christ. John preached for several years in Western, Ky. and So. Illinois and
served as an Elder in Paducah, Ky. He was retired from the U. S. Postal
Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He is survived
by his wife of 59 years, Mabel Scott Monger; son, John L. Monger of Fla.;
daughter, Terrie Martin of N.C.; grandchildren, Graham Monger, Ginger Monger
both of Fla., Kelly Martin of Tx., Ross Martin of N.C. and great- grandchild
Jasmine Deihl of Fla.; brothers, James Arnold Monger of Hampton, Tn. and Roy

34 of Lenoir City went to be with the Lord Friday morning, October 22, 2004
at U. T. Medical Center. David was a devoted Christian and a member of Two
Rivers Church. He was a Codes Enforcement Officer for Knox County and was
owner of Cornerstone Home Inspection Service. David was an avid outdoors
man, loved to water ski and was a member of the Skiers of Knoxville. He was
very active in the community, serving in a variety of ways. David was a
loving husband, father and son. He was preceded in death by step

John Christopher (Chris)
- age 39 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, October 26,
2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City where he was a
Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Youth Worker and did maintenance for church
vehicles. Chris was an employee of Carboloy. He was an avid U. T. Fan. He
coached Little League Baseball, Football, Basketball and was an Upward
Basketball Referee. Chris was a wonderful loving husband and father.
Preceded in death by father, Ronnie Johnson; grandparents, Theodore and
Vesta McCullah, Henry and Fannie Johnson, Ellis and Sally Goebel. Survived
by his wife of 16 years, Lisa Long Johnson; sons, Brandon and Dylan Johnson;
mother, Fay Goebel and husband, Ed of Piney; stepmother, Brenda Johnson
Yarnell and husband, Henry of Knoxville; brother, Dino Johnson and wife,
Candy of Piney; sister, Susie Lee and husband, Doug of Lenoir City;
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Don and Elizabeth Parsons of Maryville;
several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends
from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Lenoir City. Funeral
services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Dick DeMerchant and

| Eldon W. Strunk, Jr. (Bug) - age 75 of Stone Mountain, Georgia, formerly of Lenoir City passed away Saturday, October 30, in Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Atlanta Local # 72 Plumber and Steamfitters Union. Eldon served with the United States Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by his parents, Eldon Strunk, Sr. and Bess Watters Strunk; brother, Jim Strunk. He is survived by his four children: Patricia Robbins of Atlanta, Steven Strunk and Karen Simpson both of Newport News, VA, Daryl Strunk of Atlanta; sisters, Shirley Gossage and Millie Gray both of Lenoir City; brothers, Sid and Sanford Strunk both of Lenoir City; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
