James D. Scott, age 47 of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Monday, October 2, 2006.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  James was an employee of Habitat for Humanity. Rev. Everett J. Beason, age 67 of Kingston, formerly of Lenoir City, went to be with the Lord, Monday evening, October 9, 2006. Rev. Beason was a member of Shepherd's Fold Baptist Church in Loudon and has pastored several churches in Loudon County and several other surrounding counties. Rev. Beason was a lifelong farmer and drove Loudon County School Bus number 26 for 20 years. He was a loving father and devoted friend. Rev. Beason was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; son, James Daryl Beason; granddaughter, Amanda Cagley Maher; father, Dave Beason; brother, Ronnie Dean Beason; sister, Opal Janow. Gilland, Nancy Reynolds - age 87 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at Loudon Healthcare Center.  She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and retired from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill.  Preceded in death by husband, Wayne Gilland; infant daughter, Michel Gilland; son, Mike Gilland; parents, James and Oleta Reynolds; brothers, Sam, Robert, J. R., George (Shorty), and R. Daniel C. Letizio, age 92 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday evening at his home. Sandra Bourkard Lockett, age 65, died unexpectedly of a stroke at Baptist Hospital West  on Wednesday, October 11.  Her life was a vivid example of caring and much love for her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren, Sarah, Bryson, Tindell, Clay, Elizabeth, Sander, Graham, and Noah.  She was an active and much-beloved member of Two Rivers Church in Farragut.  Sandy was a life-long resident of East Tennessee having grown up in Knoxville before her marriage to her husband, Stephen.  They lived in Oklahoma and Oak Ridge before moving to their farm in Loudon County in 1972.  Sandy was always generous with her love and time to all her family and friends.  Her strong Christian faith was on display for all she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Harrison O. She was born in Union County, TN, November 7, 1910.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Goldie was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degrees.  She taught school for 38 years in Union County, Burdette Grade School, Lake City, Sweetwater and retired from Lenoir City High School.  She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, United Daughters of Confederacy, and Daughters of American Revolution. Cox of Farragut; a treasured daughter, Jennifer Best (Jerry); a special niece, Breanna Smith, who was like a daughter to her; mother, Lois Randolph; sisters, Joan Duggan and Judy Smith (Bill) all of Lenoir City; brothers, Tommy Yates of Macon, GA and Eddie Yates (Ilanie) of Wetumpka, AL; mother-in-law, Joann Cox of Oak Ridge (currently Summit View Nursing Home of Farragut); brother-in-law, Bruce Cox (Joan) of Huntsville, AL; sisters-in-law, Renee’ Vassallo (Vince) of Pahrump, NV, and Janie Cox of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.  Jeanette was born December 21, 1954 in Sylacauga, AL, and moved with her family to the Lenoir City area and graduated from Farragut High School and later from Tusculum College in 1996.  She worked for Martin Marietta Y-12, and left in 1999 to begin her courageous battle of receiving a liver transplant and later fighting ovarian cancer.  Jeanette loved her family and loved cooking for them and caring for them.  She also loved her church, Bell Avenue Baptist of Lenoir City, was formerly active as the church Treasurer, and most recently as the Editor and Publisher of the church bulletin.  She loved Jesus and loved telling people about Him and loved singing in the choir.  Now she’s singing in the heavenly choirs and praising her Lord face to face!  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Billy Joe Littleton,age 81 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006.  Billy Joe was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church.   He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. Billy Joe was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy.   He was retired from in Oak Ridge Y-12 plant and also from Lenoir Schools.  Billy Joe served on the Lenoir City School Board for 35 years, was Chairman of Little Tennessee Valley Educational Cooperative and was active with the youth sports and education for many years.  He was preceded in death by parents, Blaine and Jorea Littleton; siblings: Sue Cover, Eugene and Jackie Littleton, Joann Keener; granddaughter, Jennifer Perkey. Eugene Norris, age 85 of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2006 at his home.  Eugene served in Engineering with the U. S. Kenneth M. Calloway, age 82 of Lenoir City passed away October 17, 2006. Kenneth was a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion Post 70 in Lenoir City. He was a veteran of World War II serving the country in the United States Army. Kenneth retired as an electrician after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Lena Calloway and his sister, Geraldine. Robert Earl (Bob) Wyrick, age 72 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday evening, October 18, 2006, at his home. Bob was a graduate of Central High School, attended the University of Tennessee, and served two years with the U.S. Army. Bob was a talented artist who used his gift to bring happiness to hundreds by commemorating special events through his artwork. He retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems K-25 plant following 20 years of service. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Russell Wyrick, and infant daugher, Mary Elizabeth Wyrick. Raby, Ruth Myers age 75 of Knoxville passed away Saturday morning, October 21, 2006 at her home. Ruth fought cancer for many years, but never complained. Green, Ellen Moorby, age 71 of Farragut, passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2006. Ellen was born and reared in the Philadelphia, PA area. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.  She moved to Knoxville in 1980. Ellen was a member of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church; a member for many years of the U.T. Faculty Women's Club, Oak Ridge Community Orchestra and several local book clubs and quilting groups.  Ellen is the widow of Dr. Frank D. Green  Jr. She is survived by her three children Lt. Col. Patricia Ellen Tilson serving with the U.S. Army in Washington D.C.; Suzanne Elizabeth Peters and husband Brian of Farragut; Thomas Anson Green and wife Jane of Surfside, FL; grandchildren Alexander Bascom Peters and Christopher Thomas Peters. Leland Exum Browne Sr., age 90 of Kingston, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006.  He was of the Episcopal faith.  A retired Engineer from Union Carbide in Oak Ridge and University of Tennessee.  Leland was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Zoo.  He was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army in the European Theatre.  He owned and operated Long Island Marina in Kingston for 54 years.  Preceded in death by parents, Myrtle and Lee A. Browne; sister Betty Renshaw.  Survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn C. Brown; children, Sandra Lee Browne of Gatlinburg, Leland E. Browne, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Joel Hancock of Jupiter, FL, Courtney Sarsfield of Kingston, Leland E. Noel Mathias Engelhorn of Knoxville, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Brakebill Nursing Home. Mr. Engelhorn was born in Churches Ferry, North Dakota to Mathias and Mary Myrtle Engelhorn on May 7, 1918. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Harriet Lucille Bruce, and two brothers, Homer Mitchell Engelhorn and Leeland Thomas Engelhorn. Prior to the start of WWII, Mr. Engelhorn attended the University of Southern California where he studied statistics and mathematics and was a member of the track team. After war broke out, Mr. Engelhorn enlisted in the Army Air Corps, where he served in the Phillipines and New Guinea as a waist gunner aboard a B-24 heavy bomber and on an A-26 light bomber/reconnaissance aircraft. Awards, decorations, and campaign ribbons he received include: the American Theater Service Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Engelhorn continued to serve in the Air Force Reserves until 1952, retiring as a Master Sergeant. From 1947 to 1981 Mr. Engelhorn worked as a property tax agent for Montana-Dakota Utilities Company in both Minneapolis, MN and Bismarck, ND. A kind and generous Good Samaritan who loved his family, jazz, and baseball, Mr. Engelhorn is remembered fondly by his wife, Alice Frances Engelhorn, sons William Mathias and Robert Charles Engelhorn, daughter, Lucy Anne Nordgaard, and one grandson, Garrett Mathias Engelhorn. The family wishes to extend special gratitude and thanks to the caring and professional staffs at both Arbor Terrace Assisted Living and Brakebill Nursing Home. Pamela Simpson (Pam) Wood of Knoxville passed away Saturday afternoon, October 21, 2006 at Park West Hospital. Pam was retired from Bechtel Jacobs in Oak Ridge. Joseph Stephen Duby of Tellico Village departed this life the morning of October 23 2006.A graduate of Highland Park Schools, Highland Park MI, he went on to obtain an undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. Joe served his country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. Joe returned to Michigan and secured his Master and Specialist degree from Michigan State University.  A life long educator he spent his career as a teacher, counselor, and High School Principal in schools districts through out Southeast Michigan. A former collegiate basketball player he continued his love of the game by coaching the Waterford Kettering high school boys varsity team receiving the Michigan state high school coach of the year award.  Joe is survived by his wife Patricia (Sullivan) Duby, Daughter Mary (Duby) Carlson and husband John, Daughter Anne Lyskawa, Son Joseph Duby JR., grandchildren, Thomas & Trisha Van Koughnett, Jessica & Alyssa Carlson, Nicole, Katie & Kristen Lyskawa. Campbell, Dorothy Lynn, 86, of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, October 26, following a short battle with cancer. She was an active member of Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Lawrence Bosi, age 84 of Port Orange, FL, passed away October 21, 2006 at his home. Lawrence was the beloved husband of Ada Bosi and beloved father to Sandra Bosi. He is also survived by step-son, Phillip Ellenbecker and his sister, Riva Fantozzi. Lawrence was a decorated war hero being awarded the Bronze Star for Courage and the Purple Heart. In his youth he worked as a radio announcer in New Orleans and later worked as a clerk in Mayor Dalys office in Chicago. Lawrence was a member of Epithany Catholic Church. Prior to his unexpected death, Lawrence and his wife were planning to move to Tennessee to be near their daughter. Danny Ray (Paw Paw) Malone, age 46, of Knoxville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday October 26, 2006 while vacationing in Puerto Rico. Danny was whole heartedly devoted to his family. He had a strong faith in God and attended Cornerstone Church of Knoxville. His gift of a giving heart and concern for the well being of everyone made him loved by all who knew him. He established Malone's Coffee Service in 1993 and was known as "Dan the Coffee Man", considering all of his customers his friends, as well. He was a man who experienced life fully, enjoying hobbies such as NASCAR, snow boarding and spending time with his family. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Malone. He left behind his loving wife of 28 years, Sharon Malone, as well as his children, Danielle Malone, Carrie Reagan and husband John, Jessie DeRose and husband Austin, Blake and Tina Malone. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Kaylee and Johnna Reagan and Alexander DeRose. He also leaves his mother, Faye Jackson and husband Jake of Lenoir City; brothers, Ricky Malone of Lenoir City, Ronnie Smith of Knoxville, Chris Smith of Knoxville; sister, Billie Malone of Millington, Jamie Hopper of Memphis and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Church, 1250 Heritage Lake Blvd, Knoxville, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. C. S. (Sonny) Kirkendall officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Forest Cemetery for graveside services. Robert Lewis (Bob) Stephens, age 69 of Knoxville, TN,  formerly of Clearwater, FL,  passed away suddenly Sunday evening, October 29, 2006. Bob was a wonderful and giving person, who was loved by many. Additionally, he was a veteran of the U S Army. Survivors: children,  Jodi Stephens-Silcox of Clarksville, TN, Robert Lewis Stephens Jr. of Clearwater, FL, Kimberly Stephens-Cargill and husband James of Clarksville, TN, Julianne Stephens of Oldsmar, FL; grandchildren, Tamera Hicks and Chance Stephens both of Oldsmar, FL and Bella Rose Cargill of Clarksville, TN; beloved friends and caregivers, Sherry and Marlon Bickel and their son, Blake of Farragut. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon Wednesday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. with Rev. Lane Garner officiating.
