Donnelly, John S., of Loudon and formerly of Mt. Clemens, Michigan died Monday, September 1, 2003 peacefully at home after a one year battle with cancer.  He was born October, 19, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of James Patrick and Katherine Healy Donnelly.  Mr. Donnelly was a WWII Army Veteran who was a POW in Germany before being liberated in 1945.  He was employed by Sears Roebuck for 44 years before retiring in 1983.  He was a founding member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon.  Before moving to TN in 1994, he was an elder and 25 year member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Mt. Clemens, MI.  He also was very active in the Fishers of Men evangelism program at St. Luke's.  Mr. Donnelly loved doing yard work and barbecuing.  On August 14, 1954, he married Betty Garzoni Brocco, who survives.  Also surviving are his three children, David (Georganna) Brocco of Sterling Heights, MI, Lori (Raymond) Romanetti of McMurray, PA and James (Michele) Donnelly of Farragut; six grandchildren, Chris and Andrew Brocco, Hannah and Katherine Donnelly and Danielle and Michael Romanetti; two great-granddaughters, Bailey and Sage Brocco; and sister, Katherine Reesor of Florida.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon with Rev. Sherwood, Frances Pauline Smith Lovelace age 84, formerly of Lenoir City passed away Monday, September 1, 2003 in Seminole, Florida.  She was the daughter of the late Carl Abel and Lula Whitlock Smith of the Wheat Community in what is now Oak Ridge.  Frances was a life long member of the Southern Baptist Church.  She was presently a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church.  Her varied experiences included attending Lincoln Memorial University at Harrogate where she obtained a Permanent Professional Teacher's Certificate in 1938.  After teaching five years in Roane County, she joined the U. S. Navy as a WAVE Officer Candidate in 1943.  At the time of her release to inactive duty in 1946, she had attained the rank of Lieutenant, Senior Grade.  Upon her release from the service, she married William Lovelace.  During the years just following her marriage she used the G. I. Bill of Rights, returned to the University of Tennessee where in 1952, she received her B. A. Degree with emphasis on Childhood Education.  During her elementary education days, she became affectionately known as "Framework Frances" because of her skill in the art of diagramming sentences.  Her marriage to William Lovelace lasted 41 years.  During that time, a son, Joe David was born.  Mr. Lovelace succumbed to cancer in 1978.  Five years later, she married Rev. E. M. Sherwood, a retired Baptist minister whom she had known 55 years earlier.  This marriage ended in March 2000 with the death of Rev. Sherwood.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sherwood was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Carl Joe Smith, George W. Smith, Murrell Eugene Smith and Bobby Thurman Smith and one sister, Ruth Womack.  She is survived by her son, Joe David Lovelace, his wife, Marie Palumbo Lovelace; and granddaughter, Ashley Marie Lovelace all of Seminole, Fl.;granddaughter, Angela Marie Lovelace of Washington, DC; and grandson, Michael David Lovelace of Hyattsville, MD; sisters, Peggy Curton of Knoxville, Mary Clyde  Husky of Georgia; many nieces, nephews and cousins; stepchildren, Wilma Conder and her husband, Rev. Ernest Conder, Phyllis Cain, Everette M. Halgowich, Barbara Ann Moe age 60 of Lenoir City passed away Monday, September 1, 2003, at the Park West Hospital.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir.  Barbara was a professional driver, a wonderful homemaker, and a great listener to all. She was known as Nanny to all who knew her. Tipton, R. C. age 81 of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at N. H. C. Healthcare.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II.  R. C. was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.  He retired from Scovill Manufacturing.  He had worked at the K-25 and Y-12 Plants in Oak Ridge.  R. C. had also worked at Ceil Heat.  He was a founding member and served on the board of directors of The Good Samaritan Center in Lenoir City where he was a dedicated volunteer.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ada Parsons Tipton and brother, Garnett Smith.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Tipton; daughters, Judy Monger and husband, Horace, Jeanne Tuck and husband, Mike; son, Jerry Tipton all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Tara Tuck,. Clements, Carl R. age 70 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Carl was a veteran of the Navy serving during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Catholic Church.    Carl owned and operated Trade Secret Stores in several Michigan Malls.   He was a member of Gull Lake Country Club in Michigan and was an avid golfer.  Survived by his wife of 45 years, Sally Clements; daughters, Cindy Clements, Colleen Kotarak and husband, Larry, Rene Burnett and husband, Charles, Meg Van Ravenswaay and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Gavin, Sebrina, and Morgan.  A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with Father David Boettner officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Broyles, Elzetta (Lettie) passed away on the morning of August 30, 2003 while residing at The Neighborhood in Tellico Village.  A loving mother, she is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Graduating from nurses training at Mount Carmel Hospital (under the supervision of Holy Cross nuns) in Columbus, Ohio in 1945, she served as a registered nurse for 40 years in Ohio, Missouri, California, and Pennsylvania.  Her oldest son Michael, and his wife, Linda are residents of Tellico Village.  Patrick lives in Manhattan, Kansas.  Timothy and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.  Tamara Hall, the youngest and only daughter, lives with her husband, Ric in Gallup, New Mexico.  A memorial service honoring Lettie will take place Friday, September 5th, 2003 at 11 a.m. in her church, The Christian Church of Loudon County at 12210 Martel Road in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
Patton, Mason Cash (Pat) age 85 of Knoxville, passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Pat was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of VPI and was a veteran of the Army Air Corp in World War II. Pat was retired after 26 years of service with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. He enjoyed the water and spent many hours on Ft. Bledsoe, Doris Augusta Swecker, age 81, of the Choto Community, Knoxville, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 9, 2003, at Baptist Hospital West. Doris was the last surviving Trustee that formed Chota Presbyterian Church, which is now known as Community Bible Church. She was a very loving and giving lady who was adored by her family and friends. Doris was always generous and gave back to the community as well as to religious charities. Wampler, Arnold J.- age 81 of Okeechobee, FL, formerly of Lenoir City, TN and Monroe, MI, passed away early Sunday morning, September 14, 2003, in Florida. He attended North Okeechobee Church of God. Arnold retired from the International Operating Engineers Local # 324 in Monroe, MI. He was an avid guitar player and bass fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister, one grandson and two great grandchildren. Amos age 90 of the Oral Community in Roane Co. passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2003.  She was the oldest living member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.  Nora was charter member of Ladies Aid/United Methodist Women.  She operated bookmobile services out of her home for over 50 years.  Nora attained her GED at 80 years of age.  Preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Duff; parents, D. Allison owned and operated the Cherryvale Book Store.  Lucille was a member of the Wednesday Progress Club in Cherryvale and the P. E. O. Bullock, LeRoy E. Sr., age 83 of Dinwiddie, VA passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003 in Petersburg, VA.  He was born in Robeson County, NC and was the son of the late Norman and Evelyn Prevatte Bullock.  Mr. Bullock was a U. S. Army Veteran.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of Avery Lodge No. 593 F & AM in Lenoir City.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Hill Bullock.  Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Pamela Bullock of Dinwiddie, VA; daughter, Elaine B. Padgett, Gladys Ellen Powell - age 88, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away at her home Saturday, September 27, 2003. Gladys retired from Yale & Towne in 1980 after 26 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Pickel, Paul Howard - age 62, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was a member of New Midway Baptist Church of Kingston, where he served as a deacon and song director for many years. He retired from Yale Security after 36 years of service. Preceded in death by his father, Walter D. Pickel; brother, James W. (Dub) Pickel and sister-in-law, Vivian Jean Pickel. Kerley, Chadwick Lee (Chad)  age 24 of Knoxville passed away suddenly Saturday, September 27, 2003. Chad attended First Baptist Church Concord. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division of the U S Army. He was a graduate of Farragut High School. Masters, Donna Jean Priddy age 84 of Lenoir City passed away Sunday, September  28, 2003 at the Baptist Health Care Center.  She was born in 1919 in Topeka, KS., and moved to Lenoir City in 1949.  She attended Kansas State College for 1 year, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 54 years.  Donna was a member of Home Demonstration Club and the Eastern Star.  In addition, she belonged to the Garden Club, Friendship Club, Garden Guild in Knoxville and was an Accredited National Flower Judge, D. A. R. Ladies Luncheon Club, an avid bridge play and world traveler.  Imogene was a former employee of Nell Bean's in Knoxville, Darter Steel and Allen's Clothing Store in Lenoir City.  Preceded in death by husband,  J. Leuze, Robert Morris, age 50, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2003 after a lengthy illness.  He was a 1971 graduate of Lenoir City High School and a graduate of Carson Newman with a degree in art.  Robert was a professional visual artist and loved music.  He is preceded in death by grandfather, Frank Morris and cousin, Debby Decker.  Survived by parents, Rex and Ruth Leuze of Lenoir City; brother, Michael Leuze of Knoxville, brother and sister-in-law, Tom Leuze and Vicki Johnson-Leuze of Louisville, KY.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 :45 p.m. Thursday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick DeMerchant and Robert's brothers officiating.  Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Friday in the Loudon Co. Morton, Winnie Blanche, age 88, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at her home.  She was a member of Martel United Methodist Church.  Winnie was a graduate of Hiwassee College where she contributed  two yearly literary scholarships.  She retired from the U. S. Government.  She was a resident of Arbor Terrace in Knoxville and a lover of nature. Winnie was a beloved sister and aunt.  Preceded in death by mother, Laura Melinda Morton; father, Joseph Marshall Morton; brothers, Frank W. Morton, Claude W. Morton, Oliver Morton, Raymond M. Morton and Joe John Morton; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.  She is survived by her brother, Charlie Morton and wife, Marie of Lenoir City; sister, Martha Jane Peerman of New Johnsville, TN; sisters-in-law, Audrey Morton of Harriman and Wilma Morton of Kingston; nieces and nephews: Jack Morton, Linda Durham, Wendall Lee Morton all of Harriman, Charles Morton of Riverdale, GA, Pat Parker of Florence, AL, Mavis Black of Cartersville, GA, John Morton of Lenoir City, Sue Voiles of Evensville, Judy Sexton and Jennifer Perkins of Lenoir City, Eddie Peerman of Clarksville, Oliver Peerman of Sumner, IA, Laura Jo Bennett of NE, Debbie Reed and Deana Amburn of Knoxville and Melinda Alexander of Kingston.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.  The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Martel United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Williams, Mike Delano age 47 of Lenoir City passed Tuesday, September 30, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Sue Williams; adopted daughter, Lena Scott; mother, Hazel Varella; brother, Chris Williams of Niota; sister, Angie of California; grandmother, Ollie Hayes; uncle, Jim Hayes both of Decatur; several nieces and nephews including Jeremy, Amber, Donnie and Lisa; special great nephew, Derrick Davis; caretakers, Tammy Maddox and Stephanie Maddox.
