Johnson, Marie L. Age 83,departed this life on Sunday, Feb.6, 2000 at her home. She was born August 4, 1916 in Sabinal, NM. to parents Emilia and Gelacio Lobato. Her twin brother, Conrado Lobato; brothers, Ramon and Felipe Lopez; sisters, Cecilia Jearmillo and daughter Shirley Mae Johnson preceded her in death.  She served as a volunteer nurses aid in the elementary schools in Lenoir City.  She was instrumental in starting the Ladies Missionary Group, now known as the Women of the Church of God, at the Lenoir City First Church of God where she attended.  Survivors include husband, Donald E. Johnson, Sr.; children, Mrs. Roger Hupp ( Helen ) of Wheeling, W. Va., Donald E. Levy, Barbara A., age 77 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday February 11,2000 at Baptist Health Care Center. Barbara was born and lived the majority of her life in South Bend, Indiana, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Sandy" Levy. Florence was a member of the Norwood Church Of Christ. She was a former employee of Harriman Hoisery Mill and Mead Paper Corp. of Harriman. During World War II, Florence moved to Oak Ridge to work at the Y-12 Plant. After the war she moved to ORNL, and remained there for 27 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Raymond Hicks. Morton, Henry H. Jr. age 77 of Lenoir City, formerly of Knoxville, passed away early Tuesday morning February 15, 2000 at Park West Hospital. Henry was a member of Central United Methodist. He was a former member of Rutherford Memorial United Methodist Church and Corinth United Methodist Church, while living in Knoxville. He was a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, active in the Little League for over 20 years, the Gibbs and Eaton Ruritan Clubs for over 30 years. Henry graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School, and worked for Farmers Mutual as an insurance Adjuster until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Army Air Corp., 461st Bomb Group in Italy, as a ball turrett gunner. Henry was born January 15, 1923 in the Martel community to Henry Haywood Morton Sr. and Clara Eblen Morton. He was married to Margaret Daniel on May 18, 1945 and is survived by his wife of 53 years. Temples, Owen C. Jr. (Bud) age 67 of Farragut passed away Saturday morning February 19 at Hillcrest North Healthcare Center. Bud was a retired plumber/pipefitter and member of Plumbers Local #364 in California. He served in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Myrtle Talbot Temples. Utterback, Ernest, age 70 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon Tennessee, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon February 19, 2000 at Loudon Hospital. Ernest was retired from Mobil Oil Corporation as a project manager. He served in the Army Engineering Corp. during the Korean Conflict. Ernest was a member of the New Tellico Villagers Club, an avid golfer and loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jean Utterback. Spears, Bulah Virginia,  age 71 of Greeneville, formerly of the Bradbury Community, passed away Sunday night, February 20, 2000, at her home due to declining health. Bulah was a graduate of Roane County High School. She was a former employee of Revco in Greeneville and Harriman, and Burlington Mills in Harriman. Bulah was the daughter of the late Arminda and Oliver Spears of Roane County. She was also preceded in death by her brother Buran, and sister Zena Spears. Powell, Janie Elizabeth Riggle - age 82, died February 29, 2000. A member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, she was instrumental in the establishment of the Bill Wallace Room at the church. She was a former member of First Baptist, Knoxville, and was retired from the Knox County Library System. The daughter of the late Ruth Eubanks Riggle and Charles Wiley Riggle of Lenoir City, she was the wife of the late John Clifford Powell of Knoxville; mother of Nancy Powell Gauntt (Bill) of Knoxville and John Powell, Jr. of Atlanta. Her brothers are Ben Tom Riggle (Boots) of Lenoir City and Charles Harold Riggle (Juanita) of Signal Mountain. She was the grandmother of Christopher John Wilson (Debbie) of Knoxville, Brooke Elizabeth Wilson Pippenger (Andy) of Chattanooga and Ashley Richardson Wilson of Atlanta, Fa; and great grandmother of Christopher Parker Wilson of Knoxville. She was the sister-in-law of Hazel Powell, Katherine Powell Kelly (Eugene), Elizabeth Powell, all of Knoxville, and Hugh and Anna Lee Powell of Atlanta.
