| Daugherty, Perry Clifford, passed away November 1, 2000 at Baptist Hospital. He was born in Covington, Georgia 79 years ago . He was the eldest son of Mattie L. and Clifford Daugherty of Atlanta. Perry was a sincere career teacher and civic leader. He worked in several colleges beginning at Miles College, Prairie View A&M, Morgan State, and finally retired from Knoxville College after 15 years of service. He leaves a wife, Melba G. Daugherty, a devoted daughter, Shaun Daugherty, two grandsons, Taylor and Jake Elliott who he dearly loved and cared for. A sister, Mildred Rodgers of Atlanta, two nieces, Janice Johnson and Beverly Range and six nephews, David Rodgers, Julius Daugherty, Jr., Donald Daugherty, Grayland Daugherty, Gardner Daugherty, and Elwyn Daugherty. Perry was preceded in death by his brother, Julius Daugherty, Sr. Perry has touched the lives of many students and co-workers, friends and relatives throughout his life. age 63 of Lenoir City, formerly of Harriman, passed away Friday evening
November 3, 2000 at the Va Hospital in Murfreesboro. Junior was a veteran
of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry
Chesser Sr. and Dorothy Hodge Chesser; brothers, Billy and Jack Chesser.

Credit Union. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 120 in

(J.0.) Age 87 of Lenoir City, Passed away Friday, November 25, 2000 in
Cocoa Beach, Florida after a brief illness. He was a member of the Lenoir
City Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was born in Apison, James County,
Tennessee and graduated from Ootlewah High School and Coyne Electrical
Institute. He was a retired electrician who participated in projects in
the U.S.A. as well as in New Zealand. J.O. was a 55 year member of the
Avery Masonic Lodge No. 593 F. & A.M. and the Kerbela Temple A.A.O.N.S.
of Knoxville. He was a 60 year member of the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers Local No. 175 in Chattanooga. In 1976, J.O. and his
wife Betty, renovated and moved into her childhood home in the Historic
District of Lenoir City. He was preceded in death by His wife, Elizabeth
Bacon (Betty) Bell; His brother, J.C. (Jack) Bell; and his sister, Blanche
Bise. He is survived by his sister, Ann Romines of Deland, Fla.; His son
and daughter-in-law, James Bacon (Jimmy) Bell and Camille M. Bell of Cocoa

Lisa Johnson, Steve and Penny Johnson all of Kingston; daughters and
sons-in-law: Teresa and Eddie Bunch of Lenoir City and Susan and Mike
McCall of Kingston; special nephew, Jimmy Robinette of Kingston; brother,
Jack Johnson and wife Phyllis of Lenoir City; sister, Esther Goodwin and
husband Wimpy of Texas; eleven grandchildren and seven great
-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive

Pellom age 92 of the Spring Place Apts., Lenoir City, passed away
Monday morning, November 27, 2000, at Park West Hospital. Myrtle was
preceded in death by her husband, John W. Pruitt; daughter, Mildred Pruitt
Awalt; father and mother, Rev. Andy J. Pellom and Amanda Ashe Pellom;
brothers, Joe, Carl, Oscar and John Pellom; sisters, Alice Pellom Burnette,

56 of Maryville passed away Sunday, November 26, 2000 at Blount Memorial
Hospital. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Bill operated
Drinnen Trucking Company and was a longtime contractor of the United
States Postal Service. Preceded in death by his mother, Helen Kathleen
Drinnen. Survived by his father & step-mother, Ray and Mary Drinnen of
Maryville; brother, Bobby Ray Drinnen of Goldsboro, N.C., Dewayne Drinnen
of Lenoir City; step-brother, Tommy Brown of Lenoir City, step-sisters,
Joyce Logan of Lenoir City, Brenda Sue Brown of Lenoir City, Nancy McNabb
of Maryville and Melinda Kirby of Maryville; several nieces and nephews;

Edward Clotfelter Jr. and wife, Pam of Friendsville; Donna Holcomb and

Charles Edward, age 60 of Loudon passed away Wednesday, November 29,
2000 at Park West Hospital. Charles was retired from the U. S. Navy after
21 years of service. He preceded in death by his son, James Edward Hall.

Wanda Thomas age 68 of Lenoir City TN and Chattanooga TN, passed away
suddenly early Thursday morning, November 30, 2000, at her home. Wanda was
a member of Martel United Methodist Church in Lenoir City. She was a
graduate of Ft. Sanders School of Nursing. Wanda was the Nursing
Supervisor at Housecall Health Care in Madisonville TN and prior to that
she was Director of Nursing at East Ridge Community Hospital in
Chattanooga. She also worked as a Registered Nurse at Tri County Hutchison
Memorial Hospital in Ft. Oglethorpe GA. Wanda was preceded in death by her
husband Robert L. Hodge; parents, Dexter and Mary Titlow Thomas; brothers,
Lowell, Douglas and David Thomas. Survivors: son, Chris of Lenoir City;
daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Allan Neumann of Lenoir City;
granddaughter, Heidi Neumann; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Theresa

Kenneth Ray age 39 of Chatsworth, Ga. formerly of Lenoir City passed
away suddenly Thursday, November 30, 2000 at the home of his niece, Mary
Davis in Knoxville. He was an employee of Charles Goode Contruction.
Kenneth was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by his father, William
Shelton; mother, Mamie Shelton; brother, Thomas Shelton; nephew, Michael
Shelton, great grandmother. Survived by his wife, Sherry Shelton;

November 29, 2000 at her home. She was of the Baptist Faith. Sandra was a
retired assembler from Yale Security. She was a former assistant troop
leader with the Girl Scouts. Preceded in death by parents, Geneva &
Floyd Gordon Williams. Survived by her husband, Charles Jenkins; children,
Dennis Jenkins of Lenoir City, Wendy Dills and her husband, Jamie of

Ronald R. age 47 formerly of Savannah passed away Wednesday, November
29, 2000 at the U. T. Medical Center. He owned and operated his own
business serving the coffee industry worldwide. He was a Vietnam Veteran
serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. Ronald formerly attended Southside
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Carroll.
Survived by his wife, Barbara DuBois of Niota, TN.; mother, Doris Carroll
of Savannah; twin brother, Donald Carroll of Savannah; sister, Teresa
