Obituary for Betty R. Vaughn Hiatt

Betty R. Vaughn Hiatt, age 65 of Lenoir City passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. Betty was born February 26, 1953. She was a 1971 graduate of Lenoir City High School. Betty served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1982 and enjoyed traveling the world during her service. She was her mother’s companion and caregiver until Margaret’s death in 2013. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Vaughn; grandmothers, Verla Cagle and Ida Salior; aunts and uncles, Bobby and Kenneth Price, William Russell and Betty Phillips. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Pat (Victor) Johnson, Gail (Danny) Kincaid, Glen Vaughn and fiancé Pam Arden, Randy (Tracy) Vaughn; her special pet, Scooter, who was her best friend and constant companion; nieces and nephews, Vickie Davis, Angela Leonard, David Kincaid, Glenna Vaughn, Trent Vaughn, Zachary Vaughn and Tyler Silvey; several special great nieces and nephews and cousins; aunt, Nina Thompson of Sweetwater and uncle, John Russell of Texas. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Charlie Carpenter officiating. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
