Obituary for Billy J. Jenkins

Billy J. Jenkins age 80 of Lenoir City passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God and retired from Lenoir City Car Works. Preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Martha Dotson Jenkins; brothers, Carl Jenkins, Henry Jenkins, Dewey “Buddy” Jenkins and Gene Jenkins, and sisters, Mabel Key and Edith Covington. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Rogers Jenkins; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lynn Jenkins of Lenoir City; step-grandchildren, Alexandria “Alex” McMahan and husband, Andrew, and Trey Foster; “special grandson”, Cody Vineyard; God daughter, Michelle Watson; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 23rd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Ernie Varner officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers: Jimmy Rogers, Jay Rogers, Vernon Rogers, Darryl Hale, Logan Cano, Jason Vineyard, and Cody Vineyard. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
