Obituary for Bobby G. Eblen

Bobby G. Eblen, age 92 of Lenoir City, Tennessee passed away August 29, 2018.

Bobby was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church over 50 years where she sang in the choir. Bobby was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing bridge and caring for her many pets. Bobby was a kind and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was raised in Arkansas and completed her bachelor's degree in 1947 at the University of Central Arkansas where she majored in chemistry and minored in math. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1947 where she began her first job at ORNL. As a chemist she analyzed uranium for the government post WWII.

After meeting her husband, Charles Eblen she began her second career as a full time home maker.

Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles T. Eblen; parents Louie and Bessie Ginocchio and 4 siblings.

Survivors include daughters Abby Eblen Blahauvietz and husband Rick; Lee Eblen Ledbetter and future son in law, Tony Aikens; grandchildren Hailey and Benjamin Blahauvietz and Charlie Ledbetter; nephews and their wives Jim and Fran Kopenhafer, Tom and Donna Kopenhafer, Mark and Karen Kopenhafer, and Jerry Kopenhafer.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers are Charlie Ledbetter, Benjamin Blahauvietz, Jim Kopenhafer, Chip Miller, Jim Campbell, Phillip Reed, Walter Hines and Tom Kopenhafer. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Trinity United Methodist Choir. Special thanks to Cherie Ruth and Traci Carmack, her caregivers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Loudon County Humane Society.
