Obituary for Curtis Arthur Dickey

Curtis Arthur Dickey age 79 of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Curtis retired from T. V. A. where he worked from 1967 to 1992 as a design engineer. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Curtis loved his family above all else and enjoyed his life immensely. Anyone that knew him was a little better and more determined just by knowing him. His favorite things were reading his bible, talking with the families across the street and fishing. Curtis always caught bigger fish than his buddies. He will be missed! Preceded in death by his son, James Arthur “Jim” Dickey; parents, Lonnie K. Dickey and Lucial Glidewell Dickey, and grandson, Braden Curtis Dickey. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Watts Dickey; daughter, Pam Dickey of Lenoir City; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kimberly Dickey of Knoxville; grandchildren: Logan Simpkins, Jamie Dickey Wilson, Brock Dickey, and Brylan Dickey; great-grandchild, Jameson Wilson; sister, Marilyn LaRue of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City, because he would not want you to miss college football. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors conferred by Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
