But most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great joy in the lives and company of his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dr. Ethel Helen (Rang) Tatro, brother Thomas Tatro of Joliet, IL, and children Audrey Lynn (John) Hall of Columbus, Ohio; Jack Stephen (Sally) Tatro of Macon, Georgia; and David Frederick (Randi) Tatro of Sugar Hill, Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sarah (John) Gordy, Stephen (Jessica) Tatro, Amanda Hall, Jeremy (Michelle) Tatro, Melissa Hall, Katie Tatro and great grandchildren Leah, Grace, Charlotte, Chloe, and Mary Ellis.
