Obituary for James Henley Franklin

James Henley Franklin age 70 of Lenoir City went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 20, 2018. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Jim was a member of Carpenter’s Chapel Assembly of God. He worked for Harrison’s Construction for 32 years as a truck driver. Preceded in death by his parents, Scholar and Louise Franklin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Troy and Alice Garren. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Alyson and Donnie Hassler; grandchildren: A. J. (Sarah) Biba, Jaydon Biba, Autumn Hassler, Zander Hassler, Jesse Garren, Jared Garren; two great-grandchildren, Chris and Ava; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sandra and Gary Brown, Johnny and Cindi Garren, and Janice Banks; nieces, LeAnne (Phil) Grigsby, Lisa (Carl) Barber; nephew, Chris (Amy) Brown. The family would like to express a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Tennova Medical Center Turkey Creek for all of their care. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23rd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Garren and Rev. Beverly Curtis officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Thursday morning at Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Grandsons and sons-in-law, will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
