Obituary for Jimmie C Middleton

Jimmie C. Middleton, age 77 of the Tellico Community of Loudon, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. Jim was born in Itawamba County, MS. He served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jim enjoyed a successful career as a contractor in Lake County, IL. His favorite hobbies were fishing, golf, woodworking, archery, bow hunting and karaoke. He also enjoyed being a member of the Cribbage Club in Tellico Village, Loudon and was a 40 year member of Waukegan Bowman in Illinois. Jim's greatest love was spending time with his family, especially with his beloved grandchildren. For their 50th anniversary, Jim and Ruth with all their children and grandchildren, spent a week in a cabin in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Azilee (Leech) Middleton and brother, Robert Middleton.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth (Shinn) Middleton; children and spouses, Rhonda Middleton Van Dreese and Greg Van Dreese, Gary J. and Jean Middleton, Mara Lynn Middleton Markano and Keith Markano; grandchildren, Courtney and Zack Van Dreese, Tyler and Amanda Middleton, Daniel and Ian Markano; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Harlan Hudson, Mary and Victor Smith; sister-in-law, Judy Middleton along with many more relatives and friends in northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Southwest Florida (25 winters) and Tellico Village, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, February 18th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am with interment following in the church columbarium and a reception in the church hall. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City

Funeral:
Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church

Interment:
Entombment will follow in the church columbarium.
