Obituary for Joyce Green

Joyce Green age 76 of Lenoir City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 surrounded by loving family members after a lengthy illness. Joyce was retired from Elm Hill and was of the Baptist faith. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Green; children, James and Nora Green; dad, James Evans; mom, Edith Covington; brother, Bobby Evans and sister, Sue Hendrix. She is survived by her children: Wanda Shubert, Mary (Frank) Parris, Charles Green, Melinda (Lloyd) Singleton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Martha (Richard) McNutt, Gerry Covington, Patsy Lanter, Kenny (Teri) Covington, Ray Covington, and Eydie (Harvey) Lowe; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, May 11th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tony Thomas and Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Saturday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
