Obituary for Rev. Hugh T. Statum, Jr.

Rev. Hugh Talmadge Statum Jr., of Maryville, TN, born April 23, 1939, entered into Heaven on April 5, 2018 with his family by his side.
He served as the Pastor of Highland Hills Church of God and as current Teaching Pastor of My Father’s House. He retired from the US Army after 13 years of service. He was a successful business owner of Hugh Statum Ford of Killeen, TX and Total Transportation of Jackson, MS.
He is preceded in death by parents Rev. Hugh Talmadge Statum Sr. and Ruby Statum.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Statum; daughter, Pamela Statum Jordan and husband Mike; son, Hugh Talmadge Statum III “Tab” and wife Becky; sister, Betty Statum Hodge and husband Arthur; grandson, Michael Jordan and wife Lauren; grandson Bradley Jordan and wife Mandy; granddaughter Caroline Statum; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, McClain, and Maddox; many special nieces and nephews; best friend Curtis Luckett and wife Octavia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at My Father’s House Church, 201 N. A St, Lenoir City, TN, 37771. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the church. Family and friends will gather at 11:30 Tuesday morning at Click Funeral Home and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery, Lenoir City TN, for 12 noon graveside services. Full military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
