Obituary for Robin Compton Tullos

Robin Compton Tullos of Greenback, formerly of Knoxville, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

Robin graduated from the Fort Sanders School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She was skilled in critical care and most recently worked with McKesson Corporation in Clinical Informatics. Robin was a talented craftswoman and seamstress, creating many beautiful handwoven baskets, fine beadwork, jewelry, and clothing. She was an incredible cook and avid gardener, who loved entertaining. Robin was a generous humanitarian and served on the Vestry of The Church of the Good Samaritan in Knoxville, TN. She loved music and singing. Always surrounded by friends, family, and animals, Robin was the center of many wonderful times. Nothing would stand in her way when it came to caring for her family. Our hearts, though broken, are filled with loving memories of our dear wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudy and Florene Compton; and Betty and George Riddell; father, Warren Compton DVM; mother, Barbara Compton.

Robin is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, William Tullos; son, Dietrich Tullos of Lenoir City; daughter, Julianna Tullos of Knoxville; brother Colin Compton of Atlanta, GA; sister Stephanie (Becky) Compton Ryan and daughter Mary Faith Ryan of Claxton; Pam and Frank Ambrister, their children Tristan and Carter; Jay and Carol Tullos, their children Dan and Margaret; many other nieces and nephews; special Uncle and Aunt, Rayman and Janice Fritch of Marion, Ohio; and family friends Andrew Wunderlich and Jessica Range. There are so many others who were very dear to Robin.

A celebration of Robin’s life is being planned to be held at The Church of the Good Samaritan in the near future. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to PPAW (People Promoting Animal Welfare) of Greenback.
