Roy Lee (R.L.) Jenkins - age 85 of Loudon, passed away Tuesday evening, February 7, 2017, at his home. Roy was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church in Lenoir City and was a retired truck driver with 20 years of service with Roadway Express. R.L. was preceded in death by his son, Roger Bruce Jenkins; parents, Floyd and Minnie Johnson Jenkins; brothers, Willie Paul, Robert E., Raymond and Burl Jenkins and sister, Frances Malone.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettye Sue Babb Jenkins; children: Gail Hooker, Karen Jenkins and David Jenkins (Kim); grandchildren: Sean and Joshua Jenkins, Jessica Avramov (Jakub); great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Russell and Luke Avramov; brother, Tommy Jenkins along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to care givers, Sonya Brown and Grace Babb.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 10th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Gamble and Rev. Bobby Lawson officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart and Lung Association.
