Obituary for Henry Hardin

Henry Hardin, age 82 of Powell passed away February 1, 2019 at his home. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated employee at ORNL in Y-12 and X-10 plants for 31 years. Henry was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan and also enjoyed travel, especially to Cherokee and Tunica. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Ann Bussey Hardin; son, Carold Thomas (Squirt); parents, Raymond Hardin and Henrietta Hardin Latham; sister, Louise (Baby) Ratledge. He is survived by his brother, Billy Joe Hardin; sisters, Loretta Walker, Shirley (Kenneth) Walker; step-brother, Otis (Carolyn) Latham; step-sisters, Geneva Jarrard and Pauline Hammonds; granddaughter, Deanna Cozart; devoted nephew, Charles (Rosalie) Ratledge, sister-in-law, Annette Adams; nephews, Michael Walker and Gary Hardin; friends, Sandra (Marvin) Burum; devoted cousins, Reggie Johnson and Landon Johnson; aunt, Louise Ellis and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. Friends may call at their convenience between 12 noon and 6 pm on Wednesday, February 6th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 7th at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway in Knoxville for Graveside Services. Minister Nicholas Jones will officiate and full military honors will be conferred. Memorials may be made to Thompson Comprehensive Breast Center, 1915 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916.
