Obituary for Perry Anthony

It is with great sadness that the family of Perry Anthony announces his passing due to complications with Parkinson’s disease, on Monday February 4, 2019.

Perry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alyce Anderson Anthony and his children, Victoria (Paul) Anthony-Krebs of Prairie Village KS, and Theodore Anthony of Toledo OH. Perry will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, William, Benjamin, and Jack Krebs, and by his brother Malcolm (Mary) Anthony of Roanoke VA. Perry was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Marjorie Anthony of Naples FL and brother Roger Anthony of McKinney TX.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Perry attended Friends Central High School and Grove City College where he was president of his fraternity, Nu Lambda Phi. Grove City College is where he met and married his wife, Alyce. His professional career included Westinghouse Electric, Allied Van Lines, Underwriters Salvage, ICCP, and Comptia which allowed him to travel worldwide. He also served on several corporate boards.

He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and fun-loving father to his family. He was able to find humor in all of his experiences. One of his greatest joys in life was antique automobiles and boating. He was responsible for establishing Thunderbird clubs in Pittsburgh PA, Omaha NE, and finally The Great Smoky Mountain Thunderbird Club in Knoxville TN. He was very proud of the numerous awards and recognition that he received throughout the years.

A Celebration of Perry’s life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Tellico Village Yacht Club 100 Sequoyah Road, Loudon TN 37774 with
Perry’s brother, Malcolm Anthony officiating the ceremony. A reception will follow the ceremony.

The family would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support thought this difficult time. He leaves behind many lifelong and new friendships.
