After graduating from college, Bill fulfilled his wish to work in the automotive industry. He worked for General Motors Corporation (Buick), Volkswagen/Porsche/Audi, and AM General Corporation (Hummer).

Retirement brought Bill and Dee to Rarity Bay where they enjoyed boat rides on Tellico Lake and playing cards with their many friends. He continued to enjoy playing tennis and pool. He spent a lot of his time on yard work and took pride in a well-kept lawn. When he wasn’t working in the yard, Bill was working on or cleaning his cars.
