Obituary for Retired Colonel Timothy Thomas Dearing

Timothy Thomas Dearing (Retired Col. USAF), age 64 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Colonel Dearing retired from the United States Air Force after 38 years of service. He was a prior member of FLW fishing series and Blount County Flying Club. Colonel was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Dearing and grandmother, Mildred Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lisa L. Dearing; daughters: Harley S. Dearing, Kimberly M. Veer and husband, Matt; sons, Timothy J. Dearing and wife, Lindsay, Thomas W. Dearing and wife, Amie; grandchildren: Garrett Veer, Kendall Veer, Trace Dearing, Teague Dearing, Jacqueline Dearing and Olivia Dearing; father, Tom Dearing; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Mick Meyer, Joni and Darrel Fry. A celebration of the Colonel’s life will be held Saturday, April 7th at Central United Methodist Church, 301 Hickory Creek Road, Lenoir City, TN. The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jason Jennings officiating. Full military honors will be conferred. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association.
