Obituary for Kathy McLain Johnson Stansberry

Kathy McLain Johnson Stansberry age 72 of Sweetwater passed away Thursday evening May 24, 2018.

Kathy sang and played the piano all her life, and was an original member of the Supernals Gospel Group. She was a Charter Member of Branded Church Ministries and attended Bell Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Kathy was instrumental in raising thousands of dollars for charities in Loudon and Monroe Counties.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Lois McLain; and the father of her children, Michael Johnson.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Harry Stansberry; children: Michelle (Terry) Chamberlain, Anthony (Deanna) Johnson, Renee (Lewis) Garner, Gretchen Elytha (Melissa Sheppard) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; brother Lanny (Pat) McLain; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 27th, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Lewis Garner officiating. A private internment will be held. Click Funeral Home 109 Walnut Street in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
